New Year's Revolutions

Dec 31, 2009 12:43

Whatever you do, whoever you're with, have a wonderful evening and a very Happy New Year.

Last New Year's Eve, I was in Tokyo at a Buddhist temple, alone but surrounded by teeming humanity. I guess it sort of set the year in motion, set the tone and theme (I'm such an English Major). This year I will witness debauchery and sip my sparkling apple juice, hoping not to get groped. What a trasition from last year... So, what does that mean for 2010? I have no idea, but I'm sure I'll look back and it'll all make sense. I just thank the universe that 2009 is OVER. IT WAS A TERRIBLE YEAR FOR ME. And a lot of other people. I need to find something to burn for symbolism. All you can do is move forward or jump off. I've come very close to quitting this year, but I'm still here. I am thankful for my friends and family, they have gotten me through and they're all that really matter in life anyway.

Here's to Life, to Love, and to Peace. Cheers!
