What of the last few days?

Well, pretty much standard. Getting up, going to the gym, developing an addiction to long distance digital communication and wandering about eating Chinese food.

Yesterday, Jn's boss Pan drove us out to the University to show me the facilities. Apparently they're pretty desperate for teachers. First Jn just asked if he could catch up with Pan this week and was declined politely due to Pan saying he was far too busy. Then Jn clarified and said i was in town and Pan went from "No time until next week" to "I'll drive over tomorrow morning at 10 and take you both out there." It's a bit of a trek and Pan was obviously getting antsy in the car because we got stuck in traffic which made the ride seem much longer when Pan really just wants to make it seem so easy and convenient to get there. We arrived and the place was rather larger and greener than i expected. Pan had also organised for Jessica, a Chinese liaison for the university to come in on her day off to welcome me. Pan was thwarted again because the depertment's building is undergoing renovations and so all he could show us was a building site in progress. Then he showed me the new building with brand new lecture theatres and conference rooms...not because i would actually be teaching in them, but because they make the uni look amazing. Pan's really nice and so is Jessica, but they obviously have a lot of interest in hiring me, which is good for me and my sway in bargaining for a good salary. Today I'm going to check out my other options here and see what i can feasibly push for.

Went to KB last night and then on to the Drum and Bell for some drinks.

The Underpants. The executives of CC TV have their offices in the crotch. Where the power's at.

The tallest building in Beijing.

A couple of requisite vanity shots.

It's good to know that using an inconformity of exercise angles could result in bodily damnation. That infernal gym...

Followed by KB and the fires of hell.

Dancers in the dark.. This happens every Friday night in the nearby park. You have to pay to get into the flagged off area. But lots of people practice off to the side.

More Milo...
