In which there is a helluva skiffy diary, hellish pain, and Hellcat aka Patsy Walker

- Cheap skiffy themed diaries from The Works (online and off), aka Paper Place: e.g. police box, and reluctant superhero, and gothy skulls.

- Classic classical music: I recently enjoyed a concerto marathon of Black 18th century composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1hr20min utu), violinist and swordsman. If that's not enough then there's plenty more available, such as Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, String Quartet in f minor, Op.14, No.3 (8min utu). Several concerts are already being promoted for North American Black History Month in February 2017, including Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland amongst the most prominent. There was also recently a programme on BBC Radio 3 which is currently available to UK IPs for download or streaming: Early Music Show, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (8 days left).

- Note to self: subluxation. Warning for medical content, obv. I had an excruciatingly painful non-reducible subluxation (i.e. partial dislocation) that's resulted in me having an unusable left hand for a month until yesterday when all my joints began clicking and then, while I was in a hot bath, whichever bits had dislocated suddenly popped back into place with a CRACK about as LOUD as a low calibre rifle shot (which actually echoed, because bathroom). The pain relief was immediate and after a couple of hours I regained full use of my hand, although now the excruciating pain has gone I can feel my merely very painful arthralgia again, lol. My joints are still clicking today though and I'm worried enough about another non-reducible subluxation that I'm avoiding a wide variety of potentially stressful movements as much as possible, which isn't much because I have a month of doingness to catch up on, especially because afaik the last subluxation wasn't caused by any outstanding trauma (except I might have hyperextended certain hand joints while negotiating with my 25L rucksack? /straw grasping). Basically, OW → CRACK → YAY!

- Reading, books 2016, 192

178. Patsy Walker, aka Hellcat, vol.1, Hooked on a Feline, by Kate Leth, Brittney L Williams, and Natasha Allegri, 2016, is a graphic novel featuring the Marvel 'verse character Patsy Walker, aka Hellcat, who has undergone yet another transformation in the style and intended audience of her comic. Fortunately for the character this is a top quality revamp, with a flexible set-up, an excellent supporting cast, and a well-chosen creative team who have already made Hellcat their own. Fun read, would buy again. (5/5 many thanks to lilacsigil who re-recced this to me after I'd passed it over)
