In which there are para-sites

- Dear world, best wishes, with love, your friendly neighbourhood tree-eating parasite who in almost no way thinks of Ents as takeaway food.

- Weathering well. Yesterday, when I didn't have to go anywhere, there were +9C temperatures, 14mph winds, and zero rain. Today, when I had to commute to the city for a hospital appointment, there were -2C temperatures, 45mph winds, rain and snow and sleet and hail. As I previously mentioned having to go for a re-sit I suppose I'd better reassure you with the insta-results given to me by the radiologist who did the scan: I'm told the scarring and calcification of two of my major internal organs is "benign". Also, is it only me or is the word "spleen" just fundamentally hilarious-sounding?

- The vashta nerada are in the building. The last three books of fiction I went to the library to borrow were all missing: one literary short story collection, one classic romance novel, one science fiction tie-in novelisation. It's possible that there's a thief with the same taste in fiction as me, or a scammer selling them on ebay, but the last novel I actually borrowed was wrongly catalogued as an entirely different classic novel by the same author (and last year I managed to accidentally but legitimately check out a reference only map) so I suspect it's more likely to be widespread cataloguing errors. Odd though.
