A random one-shot. Totally not what I expected.
The sun is nearly setting, as two figures sit by the beach. Today seemed to be a stressful day for the two of them, of course it’s normal for the West Bev High students.
“It’s so beautiful…” the girl says. Her companion averts their eyes from the sunset, and looks at the girl, nothing but love in their eyes.
“Yeah…” they answer distractedly. The girl turns to look at her friend, noticing her staring at her.
“Silver, you okay…?” the girl asks. Silver shakes out from her trance and smiles, shaking her head.
“Yeah… I’m fine Annie.” She answers, scooting over closer to the other girl, and wrapping her up in a hug.
“You’re so nice to hug…” Silver says in a whisper.
Annie giggles at Silver’s antics, backing away just a bit to see Silver’s face.
“What was that for?” Annie asks with a smile on her face. Silver shrugs as a goofy grin forms on her face, as she answers,
“Nothing…I dunno, I guess it’s just nice to hug you…that's all…” Silver says, looking away sheepishly. Annie’s smile seems to have grown bigger as she hears Silver’s answer.
“Oh? And why is that?’ she asks, awaiting Silver’s answer.
“Because you’re cute…” Silver answers, honestly. “And my best friend…” she adds, seeing as her words may have been misconstrued. Silver notices the huge smile Annie has on, and decides it'd be fun to mess with the girl a bit.
“And 'cause right now…you look like a little kid…” Silver says, laughing. Annie pulls away from her, mouth open, trying to look offended as Silver just laughs. Silver stops, as she looks at the other brunette who now has a pout on her face. And now, Silver decides is when Annie looks the cutest, when she pouts like this.
“Aww… come on, I was just kidding. I bet you get that A LOT from Dixon or Ty anyway… or even Ethan!” Silver snickers.
“That’s not funny Silver!” Annie huffs. Silver giggles and leans in to kiss Annie on the cheek, but something inside her wanted otherwise, and she ended up kissing her half on the cheek and half on the lips, leaving the girl bewildered. Annie just looks at Silver with her eyes wide and jaw almost to the floor-or sand in this case.
Silver, seeing the other brunette’s reaction, fears the worst. ‘Well, at least I didn't have to say it. Kelly can do that if Annie asks… IF…’ Silver thought, as she surveys the other girls reaction some more. With a sigh, she gets up, dusting the sand of her jeans and turns to leave.
Great, just great… Whoop de doo…! Silver thinks, sarcastically. She continues to walk up to the boardwalk, that is until a hand grabs her arm and spins her around. She knows who it is and is about to protest, that is until she feels soft lips crashing onto hers.
Her mind stopped. She couldn’t believe it. Annie Wilson was actually…kissing her. Her mind was screaming at her to kiss her back, but she was too stunned to move at all, let alone even blink. After no reaction, Annie pulled away.
“I… I'm sorry… I just… I'm sorry…” Annie said, backing away from Silver. Oh god, it’s now or never. Silver thought, sighing.
“Annie…wait…” she said, reaching out to the other girl. Annie didn't look up; she just kept her eyes to the ground, her arms around her waist.
“Annie I… I… I love you…” Silver said, almost shyly. Annie's head shot up to look at Silver, who was softly smiling. Silver walked up to Annie, placing her hands on the other girls hips, their faces dangerously close, and whispered,
“I love you Annie Wilson…” before kissing the girl in front of her with such passion, she never knew it would ever happen. Silver would always find herself dreaming about this girl, her lips, her smile, the way her hair bounces with each step, and to finally be able to hold her and say how much she loves her, just made her head spin even more.
Once air became an issue for the two, they broke away, leaning their foreheads against each others. They both wore silly grins on their faces, their breath ghosting against each others.
“I love you too, Erin Silver…” Annie said after a while. Silver just smiled, taking her hand and intertwining their fingers. Leaving one more kiss on Annie's lips, they both started to walk back.
“You know… I still won’t respond to Erin right?” Silver asked, looking at Annie, who just laughed and smiling, nodded.
“Yeah… you’ll always be Silver… my Silver” she answered, emphasizing, ‘my’. Silver couldn’t help but smile, and pull Annie in for a hug, kissing the top of her head. Annie giggled, and looked up to see nothing but love and care in Silver's eyes. And just seeing that, she knew they were gonna be fine.
The world be damned, the two of them were together and nothing or no one can ever tear them apart.
