Does anyone own the You Were Spiraling discs besides the Hello CD? Does anyone know if they're ever planning on reissuing them? I would do pretty much anything to get my hands on these.
I have an older one that I bought off eBay. It has like a white and orange cover with a picture of a kid on it, I think, kind of blurry. Think it's selftitled. I could rip it for you.
And I have almost the entire "Delusions of Grandeur" ep, I'm only missing 1 song, I think.
The s/t You Were Spiraling album is out of print, and probably will never be reissued because Mr. Brislin thinks it is "embarassing". If you can get your hands on it somehow, do. Because it's not "embarassing", it's actually quite good (imo).
However, and this next part is very important: before you rip, burn, or otherwise distribute any of YWS or Spiraling's music ASK THEM FIRST. You can send Tom a message on Myspace, or email them from www.spiraling.net. Because Spiraling is not a major label band, all of the revenue from the music they sell goes to them, and they need that money in order to tour, and make other albums. So, out of respect for the artist: ASK THEM before you rip, burn, or otherwise distribute their music.
that'd be great. if you want to go ahead and "clear" it with the band, that's cool too. but obviously they're not making any money off an out-of-print cd.
I have the "Hello Recording Club" CD too, but they still have copies of that for sale, as far as I know. I bought it when I saw them in... 2005. You might want to email either Tom or Bob and see what they still have for sale. I know that Delusions of Grandeur isn't available, because I asked Bob about it, and he said he doesn't even think he has a copy of it anymore
( ... )
OK, I've just sent out an email to Bob (as he handles all the merch as far as I've seen) asking about copying those two for you, and also finding out whether the Hello Club cd is still available. I'll let you know when I hear back from him. :)
