I thought graduation was suppose to be a happy time. Instead it is causing all sorts of strife in my family. I only have 5 tickets but I have 3 parents, 2 grandparents, 1 sibling and 2 close family friends that really need to come. So far with trying to divide the tickets up I have made my mother and father yell and my stepmother cry. Fantastic ( Read more... )

Don't know if you were talking about a physical catalogue or not, but the online one is most helpful.

Thank you very much, I have an actual copy of the catalog although it's a couple years old. I think it will probably be easier to look online so thanks a lot for the link.

Any advice you can throw my way?

If you have a major, you probably won't have too much trouble picking classes (although if you tell me your major, I can ask around for good professors/classes to take.)

If not, take Gen Eds. I have been fortunate enough to get rid of all of my Gen Eds. except for one my first year, so now I can focus entirely on my major...once I pick one.

Also, everyone loves Psych and Religion. Take that.

I want to major in biology. I'm not sure if I am going to go with a BS in Biology or major in molecular biology. Thanks a lot for your help, I'm trying to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Psychology and Religion sounds like an excellent class.

Here's the deal with Psych and Religion:

The professor is a superstar. He gets applause (often standing) from all 500+ students after every class. He has an insane energy. The class is ridiculously easy. You'll get an A. It's fascinating and engaging. But there isn't much substance. Regardless of that last fact, it's a really energetic way to kick off college. Plus you meet a lot (A LOT) of people, not to mention a lot (A LOT) of tools.

I'll talk to my biology friends and get back to you, or I can get you their email addresses if you want.

Either way would be great and thank you for the break down of the class, I think that would be a wonderful class to have at first.
