Truth to be told, this was the first time he stuck his nose outside ever since the confrontation with Matt that went so horribly wrong. He was okay now, thanks to that strange doctor and his miraculous way to cure him; his mind was not healed however, and it took him far too long really to just take the first step outside. Well there, he hugged the walls, trying not to be far too obvious, and he felt strangely relieved as he spotted the white haired boy a few paces away.

Today Norio was wearing a previously white, now more grey/yellow, loosely fit tunic and dark red pants that were getting a bit torn - he had soon worn out his entire wardrobe (two tunics, two pants and three underpants, plus one pair of socks), and really; it was disgusting. The least someone could do was put up a clothing store or something, right? Well, there was the ball, and people had to get their costumes from somewhere, right?

He crossed his arms over his chest as he walked over to the white haired guy. Wow... He looked just about as girly as he did himself, didn't he? At least they looked pretty. Yeah.

"You waited?"

Ryou jumped slightly. He hadn't been paying as much attention as he probably shoudld have been. "I...er...yes," he answered lamely. He gave the other boy a rather appraising look. Ryou noticed, with a blush, that if he hadn't known better already, he probably would have mistaken him for a girl. "I'm Bakura Ryou," he said suddenly, realizing that they didn't even know each other's names. "I suppose that I've, er, got some explaining to do..."

"I suppose you do", Norio replied shortly, folding his arms over his chest. "Koga Norio, eighteen. You're from Japan too, aren't you?" White hair... It look really amazing, Norio had to admit, when he saw it in real life for the first time. And since the boy's eyebrows were white as well, it had to be his natural hair color. Which was pretty damn special, if you asked Norio.

"Ah...yes, I am Japanese," Ryou replied. "I'm sixteen, though." He noticed the other boy eyeing his hair, and ran his hand through it nervously, to see if there was something wrong with it. Well, I guess I might as well start, he thought glumly. Taking a deep breath, he said, "Well, the entire thing, really, the entire story I mean, it's kind of long...but it starts with this." He pulled out the ring from underneath his shirt, and let it rest on his chest. It was glowing faintly. "It's called the Sennen Ring."

Norio eyed the huge golden ring suspiciously. It had a rather Egyptian feel to it, with the tell tale eye and everything, but as a necklace - even for a guy as feminine as this one (not that he was one to talk, really) wasn't it a tad... Tacky? "Sennen...? That old, huh? It's... Kinda big. So. What's with it? Other than the fact that silver would suit you much better, I mean."

Ryou blushed at Norio's comment. "Well, I don't really wear it as a fashion statement, if you know what I mean," he said as he fingered the ring. "As for why I have it...well, that's a rather long story. I mean, it starts almost three thousand years ago." Ryou took a deep breath. "I guess I have to start somewhere, though.

"A long time ago, during the time of the Ancient Egyptians, there was a pharaoh who found his land to be in great trouble. Desperate for a solution, he had the Sennen items created from the lives of 99 people. One of the items, the ring, though initially intended only for the priests, eventually found it's way to a thief, who had his soul trapped inside. The ring eventually found it's way to me, and, well...here we are."

[[OOC: 1) Sorry for the delay! I feel horrible about it, I really do. 2) I like to believe that the spirit of the ring is the thief and not Zorc, just as an FYI.]]

That... sounded pretty out of it, Norio decided, but coming from a place where he fought together with Shadow Dragons, he really wasn't about to tell the other boy that he was lying his ass off. Still, some sort of proof wouldn't be bad, he figured, placing his hands on his hips and studying Bakura intensely.

"So you're saying the thief takes over your life from time to time, or what?"
