Who: Lana and Ema Skye (CLOSED)
Where: Room 206
When: After
this log between Ema, Lana, and Miles, assuming it finished of course.
What: Lana gets used to moving in, trying to stay calm for the benefit of her younger sister.
(
Trying to make a morbid place a little more 'homely' was not easy )
Now, the words came in a rush. "It's Matt. I met him when I first got here, and he was really nice until I wouldn't sleep with him and then he got really scary and he tried to do things to me and then he stopped but I was scared so I sent out a call for help and Mr. Wright and Mr. Edgeworth came and they helped me and Mr. Wright got hurt and I left and I came back and pretended to want to sleep with Matt so I could get close enough and then I maced him in the face and that's when Mr. Edgeworth and I left and met you and he's watching, he sent me this message, he's here somehow and he's going to kill me for hurting him, Lana. He..."
Ema tried to continue, she really did. However, her words just erupted into sobs, and nothing more came out.
It was good to have her sister back. Unloading everything felt better than bottling it up or pretending nothing was wrong.

The thought of someone trying to violate her sister made her very pissed off, for lack of better emotions to use, but she couldn't do anything now, especially if he was as dangerous as Ema's words implied.
"You're not alone, Ema. You have friends here, and I'm here. We won't let anything happen to you."

Lana was no easy woman to cross. She could kick over a steel drum filled with water, for crying out loud--Ema had hurt herself just attempting to replicate the deed during her investigation with Mr. Wright.
It crossed Ema's mind that she had Mr. Wright and Mr. Edgeworth here, both of whom were available should she need them. And that Robin guy... he had been nothing but helpful so far, and was surely keeping tabs on Matt, like he seemed to be doing on the rest of the city.
Suddenly, Matt didn't scare her as much. It wasn't like SL-9--her sister wasn't going to abandon her, her defender wasn't dead on the floor. There was no Damon Gant to step in and ruin things for everyone.
They were a team. And, dammit, Ema was going to start pulling her weight.
Pulling back from her sister, Ema wiped her eyes on the sleeve of her pajama shirt. "T-thank you. You're right--I'm not alone. We're not alone."

Now, to deal with matters now. She wasn't going to make Ema nervous, but there was definately a reason to tend to the door right away.
"That idea of yours.. with the door? Care to help me with that?" She stood up off the couch.

Hopping to her feet, Ema smiled back. "Sure!" She crossed the room and picked up the broom, staring at the aged bristles on its end. "...We need to get rid of these before we can do anything, though." After a quick examination, she added, "I think we need to break it off."

"Here, let me do it." Lana certainly had strength to her, and was already injured anyway.

It didn't take much force for the handle to pop out of the broom--it wasn't attached very well. However, Ema had given it pretty much all the strength she had, and inertia caused the girl to tumble backwards to the floor.
She sat there a few beats, wide-eyed and dumbfounded. And then, out of seemingly nowhere, she started laughing, despite herself. She had to let all of this tension out somehow, and laughing seemed better than any alternatives she knew.
Plus, she just felt silly, knocking herself to the floor over a broomstick handle.

When Ema fell to the ground, Lana's eyes widened. "Ema!" She was too slow, and the girl managed to fall to the ground anyway. Kneeling next to her, she glanced her over quickly. "Are you alright?"
The laughter at first confused her, and she crinkled her forehead in concern as she stared at her sister dumbfoundedly, before managing a small laugh herself.
"Geez, Ema. Now you are going to get yourself hurt. Then we'll both be hurt." She chided with a sigh, although her tone was more humored than angry as she stood up and went to work on the broom handle, now that it was seperated.

Once the broom handle was in place, Ema crossed to the couch and plopped down onto it. It was silly, but she felt... almost safe with her sister there with her. If anything, Lana's presence gave her a warm feeling.
It wasn't home, but it was a lot closer than she had been to home in days.
