Jul 13, 2007 14:26

Who: Cloud and Ricky (rickys_bar)
What: Wandering Cloud finds a place to live.
Where: Outside the bar and nightclub.
When: After being shot by Clones and shoved out of the Lifestream by Aeris. Gee thanks, Aeris.
Rating: PG or equivalent.
Open: Not really, no.

Cloud was used to being shoved into strange and unusual places, Zack's attempt at shoving him into Scarlet's closet that one time to hide 'potential state' evidence (Gaia, he was so young then) not withstanding. Which probably explained why he barely blinked when being plopped down onto the street that he was at now, landing gently, feet first after having floated in white static for some indeterminate time.

He remembered dancing green, not the sick, tainting color of Jenova but fresh green, Aeris' green, the kind that fueled the planet with life.

And he remembered pain.

That person's voice, too. Why he had decided not to keep Cloud with them, both of them, Cloud wasn't sure. All he could conclude from that was Aeris was still angry, disappointed in him. Maybe Zack was too.

And oh Gaia, why hadn't they sent him with directions? Or at least a map? Possibly an inkling if he was on the same planet? No, he corrected himself. He knew he wasn't on the same planet. The hum that usually settled in the back of his mind was gone, the planet's voices silenced in a way they hadn't been since Cloud was experimented on in Hojo's lab.

At least he still had his sword. Cloud reached back and rested a gloved hand on the hilt of The First Tsurugi, it's weight comforting to Cloud. Equipment checks came next, along with materia check. Wait, where did his Mastered All go?

"...... Dammit, Yuffie."

Cloud shook his head, continuing down the street when his heightened senses picked up no immediate threat. He didn't particularly find this world all that great but after a near lifetime of Jenova... well, anything was better than Jenova. Right?

Past a cemetery, a Wutaian looking building (the point where some force tried to suck him up to toss him heavens knows where - Cloud, being the stubborn man he could be, just refused point blank to be moved) and Cloud found himself standing in front of a run-down bar, not much to look at and apparently, not as popular as it could be. But the point was it was occupied, and with occupation came the opportunity for Cloud to figure out where he was.

Cloud stood outside, trying to decide whether barging in or waiting for someone to leave was more beneficial.
