Since he already lived on the top floor in the fourth building, it was very easy for Haku to get to the fifth. All he had to do was to walk up the wall through the apartment window, run across the roof, and jump to the neighboring one with the help of chakra. Because of that, he was early for their meeting. Haku sat on the roof of the door, thinking things over while he waited for Sanzo to arrive.

Sakura's desperate attempts to assure him that she was alright and that Sanzo was a good person had quelled his anger for the most part. If she was willing to befriend this person and if he reminded her of her brother, then there must be something good about him, right?

But then, that wasn't the issue here. Pointing a gun at a young girl and shooting at her was, and...

Well. Even if it was a paranoid habit, it was no excuse for doing that to Sakura. That it had almost mortally harmed her was unforgivable.

This whole incident could have been avoided, really. He wouldn't have been so afraid if he knew that Sakura could take care of herself well. Perhaps, he had a way of making sure that she did.

The door swung open, and a blond head appeared. Haku watched him lean against the wall directly below him. There were too many openings in this man's defences.

No, he wasn't going to exploit them. This wasn't an assassination, and there would be nothing to gain in killing him or surprising him.

Haku quietly slipped off the roof on the other side, took off his mask, and calmly walked to where the blonde could see him.

"Sanzo-san?" he called, by way of greeting.
