When the divermon stood above Jyou he realized, regardless of his mind over matter philosophy, if this was indeed a dream he could sprout wings and fly away. After the moment this realization faded and the divermon was holding a black ring, Jyou snapped of the ground and landed miraculously (for him) on his feet.
"Ok, so this isn't a dream. Well, I don't really need a..." Jyou looked at the ominous ring, "I don't really need any bodily piercings so I'll just be on my way." He backed up slowly and then bolted head first towards the familiar face with fluffy hair.
Jyou ducked behind Miku and clinged to her shoulders to hide himself behind her and Daisuke. "Sorry miss, but Daisuke, I sure am glad to see you. Would you mind telling be if I'm dreaming or not? Becuase that would be really nice to know."

"My name, is the Digimon Kaizer, and you will refer to me as such." The blunette scowled, then looked to the older boy, who was starting to irritate him. "And you're not dreaming, insect. Unless you want to consider this a living nightmare. By all means, continue to call it a dream...if it helps you stop your sniveling."
Ken then rounded on Daisuke, taking a step closer.
"So tell me, my worthy adversary...would you like to kneel before me of your own volition, or do I have to collar you? I'd much rather you listened, but if you want to struggle, I can arrange that as well..."
The Divermon stood ready by his feet.

She had spotted the Divermon. "...wh-what are those?" And why were they holding rings? Oh boy. This was getting way creepy. "St-stop it! What did Daisuke-san ever do to you?!" She peered out at Ken and glared at him. "Leave him alone. P-please?"

The maroon haired boy flinched when the Kaizer addressed him the first time. Daisuke had already grown accustomed to feeling comforted and secure around Ken. Now, to hear that heartless tone and see unreadable eyes hiden behind shades made him feel sick. Where was the Ken he knew?! Was he inside the Kaizer again? Was this an imposter? A... ghost? The entire situation was begining to make his head hurt even more than it already had been. Whatever the reason or excuse, he had two friends he needed to help get as far away from this maniac as possible.
"Hinasaki-san... Jyou-senpai..." He threw a glance behind him at the two and clutched tightly to his D-3. How much longer was he going to be able to stand on his own two feet? Daisuke desperatly wished his digimon partner were here to aid him.
Whipping his attention back, the boy's eyes hardened and threatened the Kaizer to not take another step forward. "Ken, stop doing this! You're not the Digimon Kaizer anymore! Snap out of it!"

Oh yes, Daisuke. Show that angry face. Ken softly chuckled to himself.
He just loved watching the expressions on Daisuke. It made his victory taste...so much sweeter...
Almost as if answering to a dare, the blunette took not one, but two step forward as he spoke,
"I'm not the Digimon Kaizer anymore? But yet, here I am. Standing before you. In all my best glory...not to mention stronger than ever before. Why, on earth, would I snap out of it?"
Note the ignoring of our other two heroes. But not to worry, the spotlight would be coming on them very shortly...
Ken cackled, and then barked a very harsh, "Divermon!" The creatures let out a threatening cry, almost not wanting to listen. But the familiar glow in their eyes let at least Daisuke know that they would have no choice.
Keeping his eyes on his rival the whole time, the Kaizer commanded cooly, "Attack."
This was going to be fun.

Fun? Oh heck no. Fun for Ken, maybe, but not for anybody else. Especially not Miku. She visibly shrank back and almost wound up stepping on Jyou's feet. She shot him an apologetic, nervous smile and whimpered.
"D-Daisuke-san? M-maybe we should go?" She laughed nervously and looked at the Divermon. "Now?!" Her voice rose a few octaves and wound up sounding like Miku had inhaled helium.
"N-nice Divermon?" Whatever those were. They didn't look friendly, to say the least. "Don't hurt any of us, okay?"
Somebody was definitely scared.

Daisuke took two steps back for the two that the Kaizer moved forward. He too nearly ended up stepping over feet (namely Hinasaki's), but did a great job of catching himself before grinding his weight firmly on his friend's toes. That would have been an embaressing moment. If it had been Miyako or Takeru behind him, he wouldn't have taken the same care in avoiding any back stepping pain.
There really was no way to get through to the Ken he knew... if he was even behind those dark shades to begin with. The goggle head wouldn't get through with mere words. Who even said Daisuke was a man of words? Far from it! If things needed to be settled, action was the best solution! At least, that's where his train of thought was running to till the Kaizer forced the Divermon to the offensive with a simple word.
'Attack' definatly WAS NOT what he wanted to hear coming out of that psycho's mouth! The trembling in Hinasaki-san's voice, fearful tone in Jyou's, and the mix of emotions painted plainly on his face didn't leave Daisuke with the impression that they'd be able to fight their way out of dark ringed Divermon clutches.
If Vmon where here, he'd be able to team up with his partner to swat those digimon back! But again, that was wishful thinking. Daisuke hardly had the time or energy to spare holding his breath for his digimon to come to his side from... wherever the little guy was now. He'd have to fight and prove he was worthy to wear the goggles sitting atop his wild, spikey hair; for his sake and for his friends.
"Jyou-senpai! Hinasaki-san! Run for it!" Jyou-senpai had to have known from the start that, without their digimon, they'd be no match against the Divermon or the Kaizer. Throwing his arm back, he tried to push Miku toward Jyou and set his sights on the Kaizer. "Hinasaki-san... let's meet again later ok? Somewhere 'livelier'..." There was a light, joking tone in Daisuke's voice that did a terrible job of masking his fears.
If there was one thing Daisuke hated, it was 'goodbyes'.
Charging forward, the maroon haired boy did his best to block the Divermon and run straight for their leader.

At Daisuke's command, Jyou's first instinct was to run for it. Just run and not look back. Jyou was used to running for his life. He found it much easier than conflict. But his mind changed when he saw Daisuke charge towards Ken.
He didn't even pause. Jyou pulled Miku behind him and told her, "Miku, run away as fast as you can. If you can send some sort of help." The tone in his voice was much different from its quavering tone to its current seriousness. With out another word Jyou followed Daisuke's lead.

She was about to charge after Daisuke, when Jyou pulled her behind him. She merely blinked at Joyu and nodded. "H-hai, Jyou-sempai." What? That's what Daisuke called him. And he did seem older than her. "I-I'll look for help."
With one last scared look at Ken and the other boys, she then ran from the scene as fast as she could.
"Stay safe!"

The Divermon leapt, one towards each of the other three. Though Daisuke had managed to bypass his, the other two were still after Jyou and Miku.
Which was when the Kaizer met the ground, pummeled into it by Daisuke's tackle, leaving Daisuke on top in a very compromising position. The Kaizer's glasses flew off into the air, far from his grasp. Ken did not seem phazed, however, he simply mused aloud to his rival,
"Well, well, I almost forgot that you're the type to go straight for the leader."
As he waited for the maroon-haired boy's reaction, the Kaizer stated calmly, "Do you really think you can win? I have strength beyond anything that you faced before. What makes you think that someone as simple as you can defeat me?"
There was a chilling, sick twisted smile on his face.
"Hm, Motomiya-kun?"

He knew he only picked up this move from watching Tai play soccer but it seemed to be effective since the Divermon lost it's balance. However, Jyou's brave act had one flaw. There were two of them and one of him. While the other was shoved in to the ground, the first Divermon lept at Jyou who was now much closer to hte ground. It grabbed on to his hair and dragged him down. Jyou let out a yell but he managed to atleast stop the other digimon by pinning it down with his feet.
He couldn't let go of the one trying to get to Miku but now his head was wide open for the attacking one.
[[ooc: This would be a wonderful time for Miku to decide to stay and fight <3 I'm not sure if she decided to leave or not. Otherwise, niffty Jyou will think of somehting ^_^]]

She could hear everything going on behind her, so Miku turned her head to look. And when she saw Jyou's bravery. She stood there, hands over her mouth. She barely even knew him, and yet he was trying to save her. "Jyou-sempai... Daisuke-kun..."
So she decided. She charged back towards the other boys, back towards the fighting and the Divermon and all of it. "I'm helping, too, Jyou-sempai!" Even if she couldn't do much, she could at least help. That much, she was good at.
"I-I won't run away!" She ran for the one attacking Jyou and blindly dove into it. Maybe she could keep it away from him.

The goggle boy growled, not paying mind to the Divermon or whom they were setting their sights on. For all he knew, Jyou and Miku had already started running. He was that absorbed in the Kaizer that he had yet to realize that his friends were in danger.
When the blunette's shades flew off, hitting the ground without so much as scratching, Daisuke was able to get a good look at the other boy's face. Heartless! Eyes void of compassion or kindness meet with his. These were the eyes that only the Kaizer had. It was the only sure sign that flagged the leader that this wasn't Ken. "O...Omae--" Daisuke hissed through clenched teeth, finding it hard to deny any longer.
The Kaizer's mouth twitched upward into a smile that caused Daisuke to pause. He was teasing and jerking him around! Every part of Daisuke that had once felt hatered for the Kaizer lit and fired up once more.
Daisuke pulled a gloved hand back and sent it flying forward with as much force as he could muster. Right across the Kaizer's face.
"Digimon Kai--"
He stopped. Chocolate orbs fell upon the his shaking fist that had connected with his enemy's skin. What was he doing? The Kaizer was still Ken deep down inside. That meant he had just...
To Ken...
Daisuke fell back, wide eyes in shock of his actions. It wasn't till he heard a yell and Miku's voice that he snapped out of his momentary daze.
"Hinasaki-san!!! Jyou-senpai!!!"
He didn't want to repeat his previous action, but--
"Call them off Ichijouji! Call the Divermon off now!"
The goggle head tried not to show any signs of hesitation as he lifted his fist up again, pumping it in the air as a warning.
