Sasuke's eyes snapped up to meet his brother's, shock causing his mouth to gape open. The Uchiha quickly regained his composure though and snapped his lips shut with an audible click. His gaze never left Itachi's face

Kakashi shrugged to Sasuke's response, but inwardly rejoiced. It would be a lot easier to keep an eye on Sasuke, Itachi too.
Kakashi turned a corner when suddenly, everything shifted.
Please not the Church, anything but the Church. Please, please, please... he thought.
The iron wrought gates loomed mockingly in front of them.

Sasuke blinked, a bit thrown by the sudden change of scenery. He followed his teacher's gaze to the dark building in front of them and stared up at in in awe. A shiver raced down his spine. He didn't know whether it was caused by excitement or fear.

The place was practically bathed in darkness and power.

Sasuke took a long breath and let it out slowly, composing himself before he spoke in a slightly cracked voice.

"Kakashi... What is that?"

Kakashi saw the mixture of interest and caution in his former student's eyes and mentally cursed. Of course the city would take him to the worse place for Sasuke.
"This is the Church, Sasuke."

Sasuke blinked in confusion.

"The Church?" he repeated, somehow feeling as if the word deserved a capital letter. The Uchiha frowned. "But... Why is it so..." his brows furrowed deeper as he searched for the words. "Aren't churches supposed to be holy places?"

For some reason he didn't get that feeling from this paticular building.

Itachi quirked a brow at the sudden change of scenery face clearly saying 'what the fuck just happened'. Itachi gazed up at what Kakashi called 'The Church' noting the resentment in the copy nin's voice. The sight of the dark place repelled him and made him feel at ease that the same time.

"Hnnn…The Church…. that name hardly suits a place so dark..." Itachi stated.

Kakashi gave a short shrug, frowning. "I didn't name the place. Let's move on, the tenements aren't far from here." Kakashi prayed that the city would let him get back there, and not toss to them to another part of this god forsaken place.

Itachi spared the place one last inquiring look; he had to admit the place intrigued him a tiny bit. Though a place of worship was hardly worth his time, that being said Itachi turned swiftly and followed behind the silver haired ninja.

"I take it you do not think much of the 'Church'." Itachi stated airily falling in time beside Kakashi.

"No. I don't." Kakashi said quellingly. He looked sideways at Itachi, struck by the oddity of this situation. The last time he met Itachi, the missing-nin tried to kill him. The time before that, Itachi had Tsukuyomied him. Kakashi shuddered a little in memory.
