Who: Nii and Haku
Where: The school's lounge, then at the biology lab.

What: A simple delivery goes awry.
Nii lazily smirked as he shut down the computer and lay back on the couch, feeling better than he had for weeks. Whoever had left him the lab equipment had also left him a rather ample supply of food, and as much as he didn't trust this person, well -- as far as he could tell, they weren't poisoned or tampered with. Now why anyone would give him things seemingly out of the blue was rather baffling, but he'd somehow find a way to answer that. Eventually. The gamble that he was going to take was bound to be amusing, and he'd find out just how much it was within the hour.
He ate a bit so that he would have the energy to give his guest a proper welcome.
The method with which he had picked this person were majorly influenced by, like most things, chance and need. He was curious as to how those rats evolved; if anything, this should keep him preoccupied for a little while. The idea to somehow use the boy, on the other hand, came from a flash of brilliance. He had been falling out of touch with the rest of the City, so to speak, and he needed a new puppet to push around in case he needed anything. This one seemed to have little attatchments to anyone in the City, based on the journal entries and the few comments made here and there. The person that the boy cared for, mentioned in two journal entries, was apparently absent here. Seemed also to be rather inquisitive, has had at least one run-in with the Church... well.
Keeping tabs on people had its rewards.
The odds were that no one would miss the boy if he were to disappear for a few days, if Nii needed the time.
That was good enough.
