She frowned, scanning the area around her with her hands on her hips. Stepping down from the last step, she pointedly ignored the giant ominous building at the centre of the city.
Anna gave an aggravated sigh and glanced upwards, above her the staircase went on for what seemed forever, and, possibly, it did. She already couldn’t tell whereabouts she stepped onto the spiral of iron once she’d walked through that blasted door.
Doing her best to ignore the magnificent building looming over her, she leant against the railing of the staircase and attempted to mull over how she’d gotten into such a predicament.
