Meeting of the kittens

Who: Shihouin Yoruichi and Aoyagi Ritsuka
What: Yoruichi tuns into her cat form to do a bit of exploring ... and meets another kitten !
Where: The tenements (probably Building Two, and maybe outside)
When: A few days after Yoruichi and Kisuke arrived and settled down in Building Two.
Rating: Let's say PG-13 because Yoru can have a potty mouth.

Ritsuka strolled down the shadowy corridor of the tenement building number two.

It's been a while since he came out the last time; mainly because he saw no point in wandering around neighbourhood like a stray dog. Instead, he spent most of his time on various attempts of making a phone call or contacting Soubi in any possible way. Unfortunately, he was out of range for all that time.

Thus today the boy decided that it was the highest time to leave his apartment and take a closer look at the surrounding area; maybe take some photos in the process?

He was deep in his thoughts when he noticed a movement in the shadows. Immediately, he became alert.

"Hello? Is someone there?" he asked, lack of confidence audible in his voice.

Yoruichi's ears flicked when she heard the call. It was the kid with the cat ears and tail that she'd seen a glimpse of when they'd chosen a room.

She walked out of the shadows, her large, golden eyes blinking in the sudden light, and sat down in front of the boy, licking a paw.

She wasn't sure of how far she wanted to go with this just yet, so she opted for the safest route first.

"Meow ?" she said, and gave a tentative purr.

Ritsuka let out a sight or relief to see the cause of the alert. He titled his head to the side as he observed the cat in front of him; he never seen any animals here before - maybe because he didn't come out a lot or there wasn't many around. The squatted and took out the camera out of his pocket. Even though it was quite dark he hoped to take some photos of the kitty; also he hoped that the flash lamp wouldn't scare it.

"Don't move for a little while..." he said, more to himself that to the cat.

The shutter echoed a few times in the empty corridor. Ritsuka took a look at the screen - the photos appeared to be apparently good, concerning the conditions. He shoved the camera back into his pocket and smiled weakly at the animal.

"You're a pretty one, you know" he whispered and stretched his hand towards the cat in a friendly gesture.

Yoruichi did stay put, even though she wasn't sure what that device the boy was holding did. It certainly didn't hurt to wait and see, and in fact, it didn't. Then the boy held out his hand to her the way every single human does when confronted with a cat.

She thought for a second and then took a step forward to give his hand the cat equivalent of a kiss, pressing her nose against it and purring louder.

Her ears flicked again at the compliment, and she decided to tak it one step further.

"Thank you," she said quietly.
