It was the knocking sound that pierced the fog surrounding Sakura's mind, finally bringing her awareness back to the present. Opening her eyes, she absently noted that she was in a different place now - a different dream. It was a little sad to her, she thought, that she'd quickly lost the wonder she'd first had when it came to the dreams. Resting her head on the cold stone behind her, she took a deep breath, and hauled herself up and off the floor.

She faced the door, where the knocking sound came from - did someone want to get in? Why didn't they just enter? - and watched it curiously. Wondering who she would meet this time - and if the person would be kind to her as the others had been so far - she made her way over to the threshold, grasped the handle, and tugged the door open.

She wasn't quite prepared for the sight that greeted her. She'd expected another confused stranger, not Yuuko in all her splendor, candles in hand.

"Yuu-'nee-chan?" she whispered, stumbling slightly over the name she hadn't spoken out loud for such a long time.

Yuuko gaped. It was very unwitchlike, nay, it was very unYuukolike to gape. But gape she did, for standing right in front of her, wearing the same gown she had been wearing at the Masquerade, so long ago.

"Sakura-chan..." she whispered, dropping the candelabra as she seized the girl in a crushing hug. "Thank goodness, I've been so worried..."

Taken initiative, given that Sakura seemed completely disoriented, the witch led the little magician into the room she had been in, extinguished candles laying forgotten on the floor.

The room, Yuuko noted with a mild smile, was the proper, proverbial room of the princess waiting at the top of the tower. Plush carpeting, a canopy bed, shelves of books, a warm fire roaring in the hearth, candles in their brackets, and, oddly enough, no doors or windows, even though they had just came through one.

No matter. Yuuko led Sakura to the bright pink cushions by the fire and sat down with her. "Sakura-chan, are you alright? Where are you?" The shock had left her with little more than the ability to ask short questions and hold the girl's hand.

The comfort that washed over Sakura at the sight of a familiar face made her feel weak and more than a little confused, so much so that it was all she could do to cling to Yuuko and bask in her presence. She hadn't even bothered to look around the room they were in, but she had to take notice now that she was seated on wonderfully soft cushions with her 'nee-chan beside her.

It was much nicer here than in the previous dreams she'd entered, where the dream's occupants had been as confused and frightened as her.

She turned back to the older woman when she spoke, tilting her head to the side. "I'm not sure where I am," she whispered, looking down at her hands clasped on her lap. "I think I'm still in the room where Ken-kun put me. I don't know if my body is still there, though. I haven't been able to wake up yet."

She didn't want to tell Yuuko how Ken had treated her, how he'd thrown her into the room with enough force that she'd hit her head. She didn't want to think of the scary room where all she could feel was the cold, and how it had seemed better to just sleep instead of staying in that room forever.

Yuuko frowned, a minor crease appearing between her eyebrows. "The person who kidnapped you is named Ken..kun? Do you know this boy?" The witch was racking her brain trying to think of a boy named Ken, someone young enough that the polite Sakura would call -kun. She was coming up empty. She left a mental note to herself to ask the others when she got back. But getting back would mean leaving Sakura here alone...

"You mean you've been asleep this whole time?" Yuuko couldn't bring herself to say that it had been weeks. Maybe a month or more by now, it was nigh impossible to keep track of time in this city...

"Do you remember anything about the place? Something you can tell us to help us find you? Did he put a spell on you to make you sleep for a long time?"

Yuuko made herself pause and calm down slightly. "I should let you know, we found Touya. He's worried about you and he's doing everything he can to help us find you, but he's doing just fine, and I'm keeping him safe." If someone, Fuuma, she thought was going to try and use Sakura's brother against her, she wanted to be first in line and tell Sakura he was okay. Actually telling her about Fuuma could come later, once she had a better idea of what to do about things.

Sakura smiled a little sadly. "I thought I knew him. I met him online, and he was really, really nice. He told me that he'd joined the Church so that he could help to stop them, so he could help us get home." She drew her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on top of them as she gazed into the fire. "He wanted to meet me during the masquerade."

Idly, she traced a pattern on the skirt of the dress she wore, the dress Tiki had chosen for her so long ago. She looked up at Yuuko then, eyes pleading with her to understand. "I think there's something wrong with Ken-kun. I think," she paused, licking her dry lips. "I think I found his real self while I was here in the dreamscape. He was chained up.

"And I... I guess I'm still asleep. I'm not too sure," she confessed. "I... hit my head before I got here. And the room was really weird."

Upon hearing about her brother, she smiled, really smiled, almost as if forgetting her sadness, though her eyes weren't as bright as they usually were. "So Ritsuka-kun really was telling the truth when he said Onii-chan was okay." She closed her eyes, seeming to deflate a little as she sighed with relief. She beamed up at Yuuko then.

"Thank you so much, Yuu-'nee-chan, for taking care of him for me. Please tell him I'm all right. Maybe I'll be able to meet him in one of his dreams sometime. I'd like that."
