Who: Himawari and Watanuki What: A reunion involving sickness! Where: in a galaxy far far away. Kinda. When: a few days after this log Rating: F for Fluffy Open: Sorries, that's a negative.
Of all the places that a door could take him, Watanuki never expected to end up in the Dreamworld. Or, at least, something close to the Dreamworld -- something felt off.
In a way, he guessed that he should've expected it. Before he ended up in the City, his visits to the place steadily increased. It was a world that was neither here nor there, a bridge of sorts for people to meet. Briefly, he wondered how Haruka-san, Sakura-hime, and Syaoran were doing. He hadn't seen them for a while now, and all that he knew was that things were getting more dangerous for the four travellers that he had met months ago when he started out at Yuuko's.
Yuuko... had a lot more on her mind recently. He still didn't know what it was, but he had a feeling that it was something big. She seemed less relaxed at any rate, and there was a very real tension present in the teahouse that never had been there when they were back in Tokyo. Something may have happened when she and that other person... (Zack, yes, his name was Zack) went off to look for Touya. If Sakura's brother knew about it, he wasn't talking.
Watanuki wandered around in the dark for a while, knowing with calm certainty that his visits to similar places like this always had a purpose. When he saw the other person who had arrived a few minutes later, though, his jaw dropped in shock.
There was a moment where she thought she had been hearing things entirely. It couldn't possibly be that in this black void of nothing that of all people, he would be here as well. But then, taking a chance on the whole seeing is believing thing, she slowly turned and found herself face to face with Watanuki-kun. The ambivalence running through her made her heart pound faster, leaving her torn between dashing for the nearest door and dashing to see if he was alright.
Her feet were glued to where she stood, and it took a moment before a gentle smile crept across her face. Maybe...where they were meant she couldn't hurt Watanuki. Maybe...this was the good thing that had been tugging at the back of her mind. But the girl didn't want to test it and find out the hard way. If her wishful thinking brought about the power she had received again...well, she didn't really want to think about it. So she settled on staying put, but addressing him,
"Osashiburidesu wa, ne, Watanuki-kun?" For a second she swore she could feel tears welling, but they were quickly shook off and her smile brightened. It was so uplifting to see him...
Watanuki took a few steps forward, but stopped short. Himawari... she wasn't going closer to him. He looked at her closely instead, worried for his friend. The black smoke was still there, though it wasn't as thick or sticky, for the lack of a better word, as it had been the last time they had seen each other.
It's been ages since the Masquerade.
Underneath the black wisps, Himawari looked pale, as if she hadn't slept properly in a while. Maybe she had gotten sick with everyone else, too.
Watanuki clenched his fist, angry that he hadn't been able to help his friend. It was frustrating, and while he knew that it was Himawari's decision to distance herself... that didn't mean he wasn't worried.
"Himawari-chan..." He took a breath and smiled at his friend. It had been a while and yes, he was worried, but he didn't want to spoil this rare meeting with anger. "How are you?"
He had yet to notice that, despite his proximity, the black smoke wasn't reaching out to him and giving him a headache.
[[ooc: Sorry about the lack of reply love. Getting into the swing of things and not feeling so hot ^^; <3]]
As Watanuki took a step forward, Himawari almost took a step back to keep the distance between them. But something tugged at her to stay where she was...perhaps it was the fact that the boy before her hadn't passed out yet, or perhaps it was just the fact that she hadn't seen him in quite some time.
"I'm alright." She said, still smiling. It felt a little forced. But she didn't want to be sad in front of him. Who knew when would be the next time they met?
"Have you...been well, Watanuki-kun?" There was a tightness in her chest. The small talk was like the gap between them that was growing. Many other things were crossing her mind that she should be saying to him right now. She wanted to apologize, to warn him of Kamui, to beg him to stay away from her in case he would get hurt again...but nothing of the sort came from her mouth. The smile had faded lightly, though the raven haired girl hoped that the answer he gave would be a good one. If he had been sick all this time because of her...
That would make her feel even worse than she was feeling now.

"Hi-himawari-chan!?"
