Yuffie refrained from asking anymore about Castle Oblivion. The blonde girl obviously didn't want to go into it, and the ninja wasn't about to make her remember things she didn't want to. She had her own share of memories that she wasn't keen on going into.

"Reno.. well," she thought of how one would really describe him. "He's a red-headed Turk, who likes to drink, get into fights, and is a pervert," she decided, eventually, before adding, "But he's hella loyal, to his boss in particular. He's a good guy really." She shrugged, smiling. "I'm glad he's here.

"Connected.. to his heart," She repeated, confused.

"Are you saying that I know him? or I will know him? That I go to your world eventually? That I have to stay there?" She demanded, sitting up suddenly. That I never get back to Midgar, to AVALANCHE, to Vincent? She was being irrational, she knew, but the thought scared her. She looked away, ashamed at her outburst.

She nodded to confirm Yuffie's statement.

"I'm saying," she said calmly, unfazed by Yuffie's raised voice. It was nothing, compared to what she's been through. "Is that in another place, in another time, there was a Yuffie that Sora met.

The worlds have endless possibilities." She looked down at her hands. "There is probably a world where you never came to Spiral. And another where we would never meet, because I was never... born. And each one, we would always have the same heart." Her voice grew smaller. "That's all."

The ninja girl sat very still as she listened to all this. So many other worlds.. the thought frightened her for some reason. And the way Naminé said it, was like it was the truth that she'd known all her life.

Not quite knowing what she was doing, Yuffie found she'd cross to the other side of the table and soon had her arms around the blonde girl. In the embrace, there was no pity, because.. she didn't believe that anyone needed or wanted that. There was sadness, fatigue, hope, but mostly just plain comfort.

In a hug that she hoped felt a bit like home.

"Y-Yuffie...?" Her eyes widened in surprise, freezing in her seat. The other girl was warm, and the embrace was just that, an embrace, without any overtones of constraint. It was just...

... just a hug.

She closed her eyes, reveling in the feeling of being held, relaxing and returning the hug, hoping to convey her gratefulness. For a good friend, for being seen as someone of her own merit, for a sister she never had.

[... I'm about to gag. XD]

"Messing with you," she repeated, "I suppose you could put it that way."

Oops. Seems like this Yuri was onto her. Not that it would be an issue, just yet though. She'd tell him what she was soon enough, if he proved himself worth keeping around. Otherwise.. Tiki's Tease probably hadn't had a meal in a long time.

"What are you implying?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"You're a good kid, Nami," Yuffie told the girl, releasing her from her embrace. "You know things.. that most people your age don't know. Wouldn't want to know. So take care of yourself, alright?" The ninja smiled, before yawning.

"Well, if you ask me, we probably need some shut eye. Sleep, and time passes faster, yuh know. And maybe the rain will let up tomorrow morning," she glanced at the bloody downpour outside. "Hopefully."

Making her way towards the couch, she shook the dust out of some of the cushions on it, intent on camping out her for the night.

Naminé watched as Yuffie pattered about her new room, silent and still after the caring embrace she never received before. She only stepped away when Yuffie settled on the dusty couch, feeling bad about its state.

"It's better if you sleep in somewhere more comfortable." She tugged on Yuffie's hand, letting go soon after the contact. She gestured to the bedroom. "There's... there's enough space on the bed. And it's clean enough."

She turned towards the window, touching the pane. "You can take it. I'll just stay up a little longer."

The Wutaian princess was pulling off her boots and her socks, kicking the boots into a pile by the couch in a very unprincess-like manner. Placing her socks on top of them, she turned when Naminé spoke.

"Really?" The ninja asked the blond girl, smiling rather guiltily and walking over to the bedroom barefoot. Peering in, she pulled her head back out again sheepishly. "I mean.. I don't wanna come in and intrude and take your bed and stuff. But.. Thanks, Nami!"

With that, she bounded onto the bed with a leap, grinning as she bounced on the rattly mattress- only to come back out into the living room a little later.

"You sure you don't wanna sleep now?" She asked, cocking her head to one side. "You did kinda get caught in a blood rain, had to wait for me to bring you clothes, and then had to put up with me. Vincent says I tire people out easy."

"No, please take it." She insisted, tilting her head. "It's the least I can do."

Naminé cast her blue eyes out the dark, grimy windows and watched what little she could see through the thick, heavy rain. "I'll be fine, Yuffie. I'll join you later."

Yes. Later.

"O-okay." The older girl retreated to the bedroom, curling up on one side of the bed. Concern for the other girl overwhelmed by fatigue, she fell asleep.
