Nia told me something interesting. She said that you and her went out and spied on Kaname and Duo when they went out on their date. I don't doubt Nia, but I'd like confirmation from you as well.

Why did you -- on second thought, no, I'm not going to ask why. Spying on someone else while they're on a date is just wrong. You just don't do things like that. It doesn't matter why, it's not acceptable. At all.

When I confronted him on the matter, he wouldn't tell me.

Weird. Though...I'm sure Duo has a good reason for it. If he's heading out unauthorized in the dead of night, he's gotta have a damn good reason. I can't see him taking the risk otherwise.

I'm not going to gamble the success of failure of my mission on whether or not Duo can be trusted if he's keeping secrets from the EDF.

...You may not trust Duo, but I do. Like I said, he doesn't seem the type to take unnecessary risks.

Anyway, is this something you discovered before or after the date?

Before the date, I had noticed unsettling irregularities in the security systems, which had led me to believe that somebody wtihin the EDF was tampering with them. I didn't find proof of who it was until later, but that was enough to make it seem prudent to keep surveilance on anyone who was trying to get close to Chidori.
