If you haven't been keeping tabs on my facebook status messages or the updates on marisa-and-dan.com, then I'm just letting everyone know that we've put an offer on a house that we've been falling in love with for the past two weeks, and the owner has accepted our offer. I just hired an inspector to check out the house and do a termite inspection as required of the bank, and that will happen on wednesday.
More details as the whole thing unfolds. It's strange to say that we officially started looking maybe 3 weeks ago and are now actually buying, but this house is so awesome we could never find anything that would come close to how well-kept and beautiful this house was at the price they offered.
Still since we're not even in contract yet, I'd rather not jinx it until we get to at least that point before I start showing pictures and such. Until then, just know that we're this close from flipping off stupid Fairfield Complex and moving into a house, where we can finally pay a mortgage instead of giving our money to a bunch of shitty people that don't give a crap about their residents.
By the way, if you're looking to move into an apartment complex, STAY AWAY FROM FAIRFIELD. Y'know, unless you don't mind waking up in the dead of winter with no heat or hot water, and having to take a shower with freezing cold water.
