It is 6.30a and I've been awake for about 15 or so minutes. I'm getting an old person's sleeping schedule. I went to sleep last night at 9.30p. That's right. I'm a Junior in college, and on a *Thursday* night, I went to sleep that early. I was absolutely exhausted, though. I'm pretty sure as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out. I really wanted to work on my paper as much as possible, then go to the gym, then go get Bubble Tea in Chinatown. But absolutely none of that happened as my body slowly started to shut down and finally was like, "Go to sleep ... right now ... idiot". I guess I did a *lot* of stuff yesterday, so it was just time to sleep. Wow, I'm definitely ranting about how cool I am because I went to bed before 10p. I'm fired, for sure.
Right now I'm having to listen to my iPod because my roommates are definitely passed out and if I turn on any form of music they definitely wake-up almost immediately. They better be glad we're all on pretty good terms right now, otherwise I'd be blaring something really ridiculous, like ... Eminem. Muhahahaha. What, like the song "Toy Soldiers" isn't a great song to wake-up to? hahaha. Whoa. Once again I'm back to this sleep thing. Talking about it. What is up with that? I'm once again ... firing myself.
So this weekend is shaping up nicely. I'm going to finish my Anthropology paper right now, then I'm grabbing a shower and some lunch, then headed to class. The Kenmore Boys are having a beer pong tournament tonight, but BK also asked me to go out with him. BK and I didn't go out Wednesday night because he had some family stuff come up which I completely understand ... but I forgot to call him yesterday to make sure everything was all right. Definitely need to call today. Anyway ... so maybe BK and I will do the Beer Pong Tourney, then go to the bar to see this band. We'll figure something out. Maybe. Who knows. Saturday I have the DePaul Men's Basketball game ... then the homecoming dance. I know it sounds lame as shit. But I swear to God, everyone and their grandmother goes to it. It's like, a rite of passage. They rent out a huge museum in the Loop every year, rent about one million trolleys too, and drag all the DePaul kids down to the Loop while we're all drunk as piss. It's ... amazing. The stories I have heard absolutely crack me up and I'm so glad I've ended up at DePaul. This school still amazes me every single day I'm on campus. :)
*FINALLY* found a damn Caribou in Chicago yesterday. There's one about a 15-20 minute walk from my apartment, on Clarke. So exciting. After I bought new running shoes yesterday, I literally walked out of the store, popped my head up, and realized I was staring at a Caribou two blocks away. Beth and I went to Einstien Bagels before I was allowed to have my guilty pleasure. I really wanted to sprint across the street and attack the man inside. But I didn't. Upon arrival, I calmly ordered my coffee ... while I was shaking with excitement. God I dork out so hard over coffee and I believe there is no shame in that, damn it. UGH. Yesterday was amazing. It was thirty degrees, but felt so warm for some reason. That's probably the most sunshine I've gotten all Quarter, for real. And it felt awesome. :) Happiness!
Okay, now to focus on the real reason I got up at the ass crack of dawn, I need to work on this f'ing paper. Bye darlings. Feel free to call me all weekend ... I'll be around, for sure! :)
