Al, Paul and I headed to Denver for Veloswap. No one really had a list of things they wanted, we just kept thinking IF we saw it...we would KNOW! :)
Turns out that's the way it DID work out - I found a bad ass commuter bike that I can't wait to actually ride! Paul found a mountain bike, but Al didn't find anything to buy. I also got booties to keep my feet warm during the winter and a new fleece Balaclava.
We were done shopping early and so we met the Bicycle Colorado Organization and volunteered from 11am-4pm. We were asking everyone we could to sign the "Share the Road" petition so we could get the 3,000 signatures needed to put the bill through Legislature in January. If they get them and it is approved, the plates should be available by end of 2007/beginning 2008. When we were counting them at the end, we estimated around 1800 signatures by the end of the day. YAY!
After that, Jen, an old family friend I used to take to school (high school) and that I have not seen in 10 years met me and we went shopping at DSW. Tonya drove down and we hit the stores. I bought FIVE pairs of shoes!!!! Two boots - brown boots (up to the knee), black boots (up to the knee), new sneakers, slip on sneaker shoes and Birkenstocks. THEN we went to Dick's Sporting Goods and I got a pair of ski pants.....THEN we ended the night eating at PF Chang's - yyyyuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm! :)
It was a busy, busy, busy day. My feet were killing! Even into Sunday morning. :(
