I smell blood when there's no blood around

So I'm eating a sandwich, and I look down at my hands, and they are bloody. Like, blood on my fingertips randomly on both hands. I didn't feel any pain, and I had no idea why I was bleeding. So I go wash my hands, and I can't find the source anywhere. I'm not bleeding anymore, and I don't know where it came from. No open wounds, scratches, or pains. I'm feeling a little freaked out and a little Lady Macbeth.
Hmmmm....
