► A decade or so before he and Joe were born, Nathan Hawthorne and Garfield Avalon formed a blood pact between their families to ensure order in Santa Clara and Edinburgh for their children. This pact is passed down in a filial manner. Logan calls it "being brothers without the risks of hemophilia". Due to this connection and his success as an attorney (later judge), Garfield travelled abroad a lot, and during one of those trips, met his future wife, Charlotte "Lottie" Jones, in Stratford-upon-Avon. Breaking werewolf custom, he did not sire Lottie.
► Son of a werewolf father and a human mother, Logan and his older brother, Jacob "Jake", are both half-were. Jake rebelled against his father and embraced his wild side to join a criminal gang called Yujean. He is currently serving a 15-year sentence for aggravated assault and 2nd-degree murder.
►Logan himself came of age at 9 years old, and joined his father on the weekly hunts and later trips to California to meet his family friends. Unlike Jake however, Avalon followed in his father's footsteps and became a lawyer dealing primordially in criminal and civil law. He later began to work in the firm Avalon, Rochester, and Assoc.
► Because of his blood bind to Joey, he has unofficially become the "fixer" to the "cleaner" aspects of the job. His connections and bank roll can make any inconvenience disappear, as what happened to the wrecked Mercedes (completely replaced), and the bodies of the Redwood pack. This also makes him an able marksman to properly eliminate threats.
►Since Nathan's defection and his son's nearly-fatal coup de grâce, Logan has been working with the father to ensure the strays aren't found. When he heard that Joey was looking for new members (and settled down with a mate), Logan "reluctantly" joined him, keeping their friendship alive and reliving his own lupine ways as the life of a lawyer leaves no place to let loose. He also tends to eat a lot, which amazes many who know him and earns him the nickname 'Beanpole'. He hates that. He's eccentric to a fault and loves to play around/tinker with technology.
