let it wash right through my sanity
watching the rain come down like this is making me wonder. in the towns where there was a lot of flooding. and people were evacuated and stuff. do you think the rain makes them a little anxious. like does it affect them now? after 9/11 we all noticed every plane that flew over our heads. or at least i did. do you think those people sort of have a new sense of worry towards the rain.
the DPW guys are out tonight. they have been on my street for hours and stuff. pumping water i guess. i feel sort of bad for them. it must suck to be pumping water out of lame sewers in melrose at 1 am. i know its not on my list of things to do. but its also kinda scary. becuase they wouldnt be out there if it wasnt somehow necesary. its sorta scary that we need people to watch sewers at 1 am on a thursday morning to make sure there isnt another huge flood. i wonder how the fellsway is doing. and the school.
