[The camera flickers on, revealing a man sitting in a chair, spinning a top on a table. The area around him seems to be nondescript, abandoned. His clothing is soaking wet, but he doesn't seem to be paying attention to that. Weightier issues press on his mind

Instead, she's just relieved she has something to distract herself with. ]
Cobb! [ And then she realizes what he's wearing, that he's soaking wet, and her heart nearly stops. No. No, no, no no no. ]

Ariadne--how?
--you should have been able to get up. To ride the levels...
[This is worse than he could have possibly imagined. His theory wasn't sound. And now it seems--he...he doesn't know.
But he has to sort this out, somehow. He has to think.]

I did--
[ No. No, they don't need to talk about this on the network. ]
Look. We'll talk about this in person, okay? Arthur's probably coming to get you right now, and you're going to freeze to death if you insist on sitting there.
We have a few theories about this place. For now, just act natural. Try not to make anyone mad.

[Really, Ariadne, they have more to worry about than him being a bit chilly.
He has more to say on the subject, but a few things caught his attention.]
And what happens if I make them mad Ariadne?
[You're talking to the person who taught you this, girl. When you started to mess around where you shouldn't, and got stabbed in the gut.]

[ Yes. A cheetah cub. And she was adorable, but that's not the point.
Have her bitchface, Cobb. You should be familiar with it by now. ]

[You know what. He's going to stop you right now. He lives a hand, closing his eyes. Taking a deep breath. Trying to center himself. You are making no damn sense, and he's not going to trust that you're his Adriane, yet.
Sadly, Arthur gets all the trust. But it's how it's always been.]
It's Limbo. Trust me, I know how it works.
[But yes, he realizes nothing is working correctly.]

[He lets out a sharp breath through his nose, his finger rolling along his top. Notice something missing, Ariadne? Something on his left hand.]
I'm not looking for cryptic answers. Either tell me, or wait til Arthur tells me.

[ Brown eyes track it, and there's a slight hitch of her breath -- yes, yes she does. Instead of the shock that Arthur might feel, however, there's a slight curl of satisfaction; she's been uncertain about the fact that this could be a dream for a while. ]
I'm waiting until he brings you to where we've been staying if you're going to get into personal things. That's not going to help anything. Like running up one of Arthur's staircases. [ This isn't the place to talk about things from back home, about what they just did to Robert Fischer, but she drops the hint to their origins. She knows what he's been through, she was there, and she knows where he thinks he is. ]
I can send you a guide, though.

[He rubs a finger between his brow; he's getting testy. He'll apologize later.]
