Hey, I don't know what your preferred mode of communication is, but I know I'm never on AIM so I figured I'd ping you here. I just wanted to throw some stuff out there; I was thinking about what to write for my smut drabble that would add anything, given that I don't know Nolan all that well yet, and was poking around his personalities with a few thoughts.

1) I have said this, but I love them together--I think the combination of compassion, worship, and potential kink is pretty potent. That said, totally no harm if you're not as into it, I just really like Nolan (et al) and like playing with you.
2) Furthering that, how hilarious and painful would the McCoy imprint be for Jim?
3) Also, I don't know exactly how Benjamin's dom side plays out, but reading his description makes him sound perfect for Jim. See, I believe Kirk is a closet sub who hasn't exactly figured it out yet--he's done pretty much everything, but his primary kink is (you hit it) enthusiasm and making people feel awesome. I think he's not exactly a martyr, but a masochist, even if he doesn't read it that way when he's abducted by aliens, etc. I think that's WHY he doesn't get that, in another context, it'd be okay to give in and let go even if he's fully aware of it as a concept which other people enjoy.

I don't know if I'm making any sense. But I love playing Jim's discovery of that side of himself, and I think that, if he and Nolan, say, had any sort of relationship, it would complicate things nicely.

In general, I think it would be interesting to see how Jim reacts to being involved on any level with someone he doesn't quite know is a whole person, questioning the sort of advantage he's taking, that sort of thing. Especially if, as I've been trying to do, his particular dark side is susceptible to the sort of hero-worship his superego denies being part of his motivation. (Not to mention sex.)

Just some thoughts. It could complicate things as much or as little as we want, as both Benjamin and Jim are polysexual and polyamorous. Thanks for listening!

This is a perfectly fine contact method!

I was actually considering pinging you about him meeting McCoy -- I didn't know how you'd feel about it, since it's skating the edge of fourth wall breaking.

And I am totally interested in bringing it in this direction.

Nolan et al would be very fast to deny the idea that sleeping with them is taking advantage of anything, but it's a really fuzzy line, and playing with that, their sense of identity, and their sense of self and decision-making.

Benjamin's dom side is very much about insight, about looking at someone and listening to them and paying attention and figuring out what makes them tick. Drawing it out of them, and asking them to let go and let him take care of them. He tends to make it a fairly intense experience, long, and not necessarily sexual at first.

Awesome. I'm fine with the McCoy thing, but I don't know how you'd want to handle it--I'm actually okay with fourth wall breaking in general, but I know that's not part of the game, and for McCoy to be an imprint you're already assuming Star Trek exists as a fictional property. Again, I am fine with this and intrigued by the possibility, but it'd be up to you how close you want to skirt that line.

Speaking of which, totally agree about the fuzzy line Jim would be walking--and certainly think he was. And it'd be interesting to see him struggle not to cross it, but still have those thoughts--because he wouldn't want to deny Nolan (or anyone) their identity/personality. Or their pleasure. That is delicious to me.

And that sounds like exactly what Kirk would need for it to get through to him. I should confess I dig the multiple personality thing, and aspects of doubling and identity and whatnot, so pretty much anything you are up for I probably am.

I think mostly how it'll go is WOW WHAT A STRANGE COINCIDENCE. Leo has no memories specific to the Star Trek universe, or of any version of Kirk or Spock or anything; most of the resemblance is in personality and background. And I never had Delta make the connection to any version of Star Trek, so it's possible to dismiss it as a random but painful coincidence.

Eeee, this sounds like it'll be epic awesome.

So, you wanted to do a move-in thread, right? Or some thread with them interacting in the mansion?

That works for me, then. McCoy can just show up randomly, and it'll be really confusing/painful for him. HERE'S YOUR BEST FRIEND. ONLY NOT.

Move-in, or something anyway, would be good. I just want to establish for myself what his situation is. And it can be any time that's convenient for you--I've sort of left his current situation ambiguous.

What do you mean you knew me

I don't know anything about starships

I'm a doctor, not an astronaut :|

-- *cough*.

Benjamin's pretty much free any time. So if you set something up with him approaching the house or what-have-you, I'll tag in, and we can go from there?
