retail therapy
Got an email that really bummed me out yesterday, which was really crappy considering I had just had a delightful lunch with frannyglass
So I carted myself out of work early and met my friend Karen at the 3 for 12. That thrift store, is NO LIE, the best kept secret in DC. I swear. Anyway, apparently Mondays are $2 special day. You heard it here first ladies and gentleman, every item of clothing in the store is $2!
The thing that makes the 3 for 12 (formerly the 3 for 10, these be hard economic times) so amazing, apart from the obvious amazing deal, three things for $12, is that more than half of the stuff in there is name brand/designer brand, and even if not, in AMAZING condition. There are a lot of duds in there too. It's a thrift store for gods sake, but it's worth it.
Yesterday I walked out of there, having spent $15. Yeah. $15. Lets do the math and put it all together!
I got a gorgeous kimono style dress in red and white (wearing it now, looks beautiful on me!)
A pair of Express Shiney Kakhi dress slacks
A pair of Express Blue dress pants
A J. Crew Black skirt
A sweet flowered skirt
An Anne Taylor pink cotton t-shirt
A Urban Outfitters style sparkley brown top
That's A LOT of loot for $15. I'm just saying.
