30 Day LJ Meme: Day 13
Day 13: a list of all the places I’ve lived.
Since this is boring to me, I'm going to show you pictures of all the places I've lived:
Carmichael, California:
I don't know the address of where I lived, but this is approximately where I was born... or what is at the location of where I was born. The hospital I was born in was closed in 2000, but it looks like Google maps shows me the "American River Medical Center," which is not so far off from "American River Eskaton Hospital," which was the name of the hospital, I'm told. I only lived in Carmichael shortly while I was a baby, and not again until I was in college.
Riverside, California:
I did live at one place in Riverside before we moved into this house, but I don't remember the address, and I have very few, vague memories of living there. This is the house I remember. I lived in this house from when I was about 3 until I was 8.
Paso Robles, California:
This is the house I have spent the most of my life in. I grew up here. I was here from age 8 until 23. My parents still live here. It's a nice house.
Sacramento, California:
This is the first apartment I moved into after moving out of my parents'. I moved in with a friend I met on LJ, actually. We lived there for 6 months, and due to disagreements and overall unpleasantness of living together, we went our separate ways after that. It was in a great location for me, just moving to Sacramento, though - I didn't have a car, and this was super close to campus and light rail.
Carmichael, California:
This is where I lived for the bulk of the time I went to Sac State. I lived with a friend whom I met through dancing, and things went overall pretty well. This apartment was much farther away from school and everything else, though, so I had to buy a car. I lived here for about two years.
Los Altos, California:
This is the house where I crashed on the floor for about four months while getting my shit together to move to San Francisco. Shannon and her family were awesome for offering up their library space for me to stay in. :) This house provided me a place to stay that wasn't Rudy's, so while I did spend plenty of time at Rudy's, it was nice to have another place to go to when I needed it.
San Francisco, California:
This is where I live now! I love it. This feels more like home to me than anywhere I've lived since I moved out of my parents' house. San Francisco is an amazing city to live in. And I lucked out and found an awesome house in a great neighborhood with a kickass landlord... and I don't pay super high rent, compared to most in San Francisco. :)
