Ctrl+Z FTW

Ctrl+Z just saved my life. Well, okay, it saved me hours' worth of work. I had been working in the same Microsoft Word window for awhile, working on lesson plans... I'm saving each lesson plan separately, but to write each one I'm just editing the last one I wrote so I can follow the same template for each. In a moment of brainlessness, I saved my formal letter-writing lesson plan over my persuasive essay-writing lesson plan. I freaked out for a minute, and then realized I could just hold down Ctrl+Z until the document was back to how it was before I'd changed it into the letter-writing lesson plan. And voila, it came back to life. Now the files are saved separately and all is right in the world of Rose's final project for English 125B.

Two more lesson plans to write and this baby will be on its way to Professor Fanetti. While I'm enjoying writing lesson plans, it's taking longer than I'd like. I guess this is a good wake-up call to what I will be doing my first year of teaching. Once I get past that first year or two, I can re-use some of my lesson plans and not have to do so much work. I hope I survive teaching and stick with it, since many who attempt to be teachers end up changing their minds after realizing how much work it is. I think I should be okay though, considering I'm at least enjoying doing this work, and time doesn't feel like it's dragging by at all while I'm doing it.
