(no subject)
One final down, two to go before I have completed one year at Sac State. :) My British Lit final went okay; I expect a B in that class.
I talked with Aaron a little last night, and he said he's staying with his parents at the moment, so I'm glad he at least has them taking care of him. He has been able to be off pain killers since Saturday, which is good. I guess his eye will take a couple of months to be all the way back to normal, and right now he can't even wear his glasses, so he's virtually blind, while also having the operated eye being extra sensitive to light. :( His retina had been 55% detached when they discovered the problem; had they discovered it any later, they couldn't have done anything about it. So, whew... thank God it was discovered in time. Now his doctor isn't worried about his left eye (the one that was operated on), but rather worried about his right eye having the same problem in the future. Aaron said retina detachment runs in his family... so yeah, not fun. I just hope he doesn't have to go through all of this again.
As for me, I'm doing well. We had friends over yesterday for an Indiana Jones marathon, which was enjoyable. It is also cooling down this week, thankfully. I'm looking forward to Thursday when all my finals are over and I can celebrate the summer! Hopefully I'll be starting at Target soon... there was an orientation today that I couldn't go to cos I had a final... so hopefully there's another one soon enough that works out for me. I find it silly that I have to sit through yet ANOTHER orientation at Target... what is this now, my fourth one? But they said I couldn't get out of it, even though I have 5 years of experience. Oh well, I guess I'll just get paid for 8 hours of sitting there not working, being told shit I already learned 8 years ago.
I look forward to dancing tonight, and Tawnie is even coming! I miss that girl. I haven't hung out with her in awhile, and I think she has been rather scarce as far as the dance scene goes because she doesn't have a car anymore. :/ Spiro should be giving us both a ride tonight, though. He rocks. Anywho, I will also be making my way over to the post office soon, to mail Aaron his belated birthday/get well package. :) Hopefully I find it okay this time!
Oh, and before I forget, CONGRATS to all you grads on my friends list!! I know at least soulforophelia and winkattheduck graduated this week; did anyone else? Man, I can't wait till I'm done with school. I'm proud of you guys. :)
