los angeles is tired, but we always seem to feel alright

back home, and it's definitely more bitter than sweet this time. i blame it on last semester being stellar (sorority, friends from the college democrats, boyfriend...) and thus making home seem more dull. not to say that the combination of the credit union and lots of sudoku isn't horribly enticing! oddly enough, despite my overall fantastic semester, my GPA dropped. yay for going from fall semester's 3.75 to spring semester's 3.33! i am officially the smart, sarcastic kid who doesn't apply herself. maybe i'm turning into ferris bueller.

the official list of things i want to do this summer:

1) swim at least three times a week
2) learn how to cook at least one new dish a week
3) see counting crows at the casino
4) lose fifteen pounds
5) get my driver's license (june 16th, baby)
6) get a working car! (not sure if my soccer mom mobile still runs)
7) see the quiet life perform
8) get into a new local band
9) swing. the playground kind, not the significant-other-swapping kind.
10) take a class-- dance, step aerobics or yoga
11) actually go to the beach, rather than just talk about it
12) host a dinner party
13) go to new york
14) go to boston
15) finish a five-star sudoku puzzle

anyone want to join in on any of the above? also, i'm going to see over the hedge this weekend, so if anyone wants to be eight years old with me, let me know. i refuse to miss any movie featuring a turtle.
