The meteor shower was so beautiful. I usually don't get to see things like that, I'm usually in the middle of a show or some sort of promotional appearance during the evenings, and then I have to head straight to bed to be up for morning practice. This was so incredibly beautiful. I can't even describe it.

That wasn't it, really...I think she just knew that I loved the diabolo and performing, so she thought that the more I performed, the happier I would be. And she was right, up until the world championship. After that, it was more work than fun, and I think she just didn't understand that when I tried to tell her.

But... she did want what's best for you.

I think she did, yes. It's just hard to tell when I hardly ever get to see or talk to her.

My father has to stay at home for work and Mother is usually with him. It's too hard for her to schedule things for me if she's travelling all over the world.

Don't you get to travel with them?

I think you misunderstand. I travel. They don't.

Ashura is! But why do you have to travel without your mother and father?

Because I have to travel to perform with the circuses and Father can't come along if he wants to keep his job. My mother couldcome with me, but she says it's easier to take care of all my management stuff at home. Which is a pretty bad excuse, I think.

Well, that's what cell phones and the internet are for, aren't they? She could come with me if she wanted to.
