The big day of the concert has come and gone, and many memories will accompany it. I had a blast, and hopefully Juco did too, and it was one of the, if not the best times I had with him, excluding some moodiness I suffered due to my stupid volatile emotions, but which didn't do enough to spoil the day. Where to begin? Well, I met him at the metro and we went shopping for Carolynn's b-day gift... it's not great, what I ended up getting her, but I suppose it'll have to suffice, and I'm hoping she'll enjoy it. The shopping involved much walking and backtracking, the majority of which was in the narsty rain, which was thoroughly unpleasant what with my old and shoddy shoes, but it made for good conversation time at least.
After the shopping we went to the village, and specifically Priape, which Juco had been in before but somehow hadn't known was a sex shop, so we did some exploring. *skip the rest of this paragraph if you don't enjoy what could be considered "too much information"* We ogled some of the porn and then went into the Toys'R'Us section of the store, heheh. We were both scared by the HUGE dildos in the glass case, and I really don't understand how ANYONE can use them (I can't even handle the usual sizes #_#) and something called the Fire Hydrant (use your imagination)... a very helpful lady who told us to ask if we had any questions helped us pick up a good "beginner's" dildo (she laughed along with us about the gibiguous ones in the cases, and said that she's always shocked when people buy them, which apparently happens a lot) and so we made our first couple's sex purchase.
After Priape and a little village window-shopping we were getting hungry and didn't feel like going too far for a restaurant, and I felt like a nice sit-down place instead of fast food, so we decided that somewhere in the village would be nice. We found a place called Est Asie that looked affordable and (in my opinion, but not Juco's) very trendy, so we tried that. GREAT food!!! I'll have to be sure to go back sometime, it was amazing atmosphere, service, and cooking. We both had a great time.
Time for the Radiohead concert! But not before an embarrassing situation of sorts! When we showed our tickets to the usher, she saw our backpacks and waved us into the Bag Check area. Keep in mind, my audience, that we were toting a dildo in my backpack at this very moment! Luckily, they didn't notice since it was in a shopping bag which they thankfully didn't look inside, and considering it was a scary 50-year old man bag checking us, this was quite the relief! Well, at least it makes for a good story =P
Radiohead was quite good! The only problem was that their new stuff, in Juco's and my opinion, was not all that thrilling, and the time could have been far better spent playing more of their great older stuff (and also they totally butchered Idioteque and, of course, didn't play High And Dry) but the songs I knew were done quite well, and My Iron Lung was an amazing showstopper! Lucky us, we got 2 encores, so it was a sufficient show!
On exiting Radiohead some music was blasting from the near vicinity which Juco recognized, and it turned out to be coming from Francofolie, which Juco wanted to check out. It turned out it was a performer he really liked, and although the performer was close to finishing up, the last two songs he played ended up being his two favourites, so we lucked out there! It didn't look like there'd be another act afterwards, so we vamoosed, and upon deciding that there wasn't anything really interesting to do, we went back to his place. On the way we picked up some Dep snacks.
Not much else happened worth noting, although I've been sleeping way better with Juco than the first couple of times we tried, and I'm glad I'm getting more comfortable with it, because sleeping with Juco is very enjoyable =) I had to leave unexpectedly early, and don't know exactly when we're doing something next (I have to help out in the house rennovations for the next couple of days, FUCK) but the time I spent with him was fantastic. I just wish I wasn't so emo all the time.
