sweet-talk. kai/kyungsoo, g. fluff, 413w. for fia again!
strawberry or cola?
jongin stares at the two lollipops in his hand. he ran out of sweets today; he's supposed to have two more but he lost one at school and the other he gave to a little girl at the park he passed by on the way here. he doesn't have much money with him, though-he's saving up for a new pair of soccer shoes-so he can only buy one.
jongin puts the cola-flavored lollipop back to the shelf, and brings the strawberry to the cashier. after it's paid, he unwraps the candy and puts in his mouth. he thanks the counter girl with a slight bow and walks out of the convenience store, hands stuffed inside the pockets of his uniform pants.
he makes a turn at the corner of the street, and a smirk lights up his face when he sees who's already waiting at the end of the road.
"i've been looking everywhere for you!" kyungsoo yells, a frown in his face. "you should've told me you don't have soccer practice today, so i didn't have to wait for you."
"sorry, but didn't i send you a text? i tried calling too, but you didn't answer," jongin shrugs. kyungsoo is his neighbor, childhood friend, school-mate and current boyfriend. they always go home together, it's been like that since they were little.
kyungsoo sighs. "yeah, i was waiting for you at the cooking club. i guess i didn't hear it over the sound of mixers and blenders, but anyway," he looks up at jongin, eyebrows creased, and then he suddenly jabs a finger in the taller boy's chest, "candy again! you're always eating candy, don't you know it's gonna ruin your teeth? you're not a kid anymore, jongin-mmph!"
"shut up, umma," jongin says, stuffing his lollipop into kyungsoo's mouth forcefully. "maybe you should have some of these sweets too, to stop that sour mouth from nagging at me."
kyungsoo pulls the candy out of his mouth. "what did you say?"
"nothing," jongin shrugs. he smiles playfully and ruffles kyungsoo's hair, before wrapping his arm around kyungsoo's shoulder. "come on, let's go home."
kyungsoo huffs as he walks besides jongin. he looks up and sees jongin's face, smiling at a neighbor going for an afternoon jog. annoying, he thinks, before taking the lollipop into his mouth again.
so this is why jongin's mouth always tastes like strawberry, kyungsoo thinks, and to be honest, he doesn't really mind anymore.
love makes you tall on the inside. baekhyun/chanyeol, g. fluff, 287w.
when chanyeol comes back from buying cotton candies, he sees baekhyun in front of the basketball game, arms crossed in front of his chest and a rare frown upon his face.
"what's wrong?" he asks as he hands baekhyun the blue cotton candy.
"arcade games are evil," baekhyun huffs, taking a pinch of the candy and pops into his mouth. "i used to be good at this, you know? when i was in middle school, i used to play with my friends, and-"
chanyeol nods absently as baekhyun rambles on about how he was good at arcade games, before taking baekhyun's position in front of the machine. he slips a few coins into the machine and grabs one of the basketballs, and shoots, wrist flicking forward and the ball flies, easily, over the air and into the ring.
baekhyun stops talking, but chanyeol doesn't stop shooting.
he does it over and over again and none of them misses until the game ends and chanyeol broke the old high score. he turns and grins at baekhyun who's gaping at him, shocked.
"what?" chanyeol asks. before baekhyun can answer, chanyeol bends down to take the tickets he got from winning the game and grabs baekhyun's hand and drag him to the counter. chanyeol chooses a big, monkey doll and hands it to baekhyun. "here, for you!"
baekhyun looks at chanyeol and then at the monkey doll. they look strangely alike, he thinks as he takes the doll and hugs it, blushing as he buries his face on its soft, artificial fur. "thanks, chanyeol."
"aw, you're welcome, baekhyunnie," chanyeol grins cheekily, and baekhyun thinks who cares if he lost his ability to play arcade games? he has chanyeol, anyway.
