I hear the tip tap of raindrops drip against the stillness of the night. Remembrance of details flash through my already exhausted self. Pause, rewind, replay. Only there's no stop button to push. I can see the little microorganisms that live in your pupil expand as the blinking stops. My hand reaches out to take yours but my fingers can only clutch at the silent air. I take in your scent of musky cigarettes drenched in sweat but it is mixed with the rain outside. Shifting faces and moving lips blurs my vision and dulls the senses.
I remember. I remember. I remember.
If only I could encapsulate all the details into a pill. 3 times a day before/after food. I'll wash it down with water so you can flood my brains.
