I believe that when you make slightly new or different friends (or boyfriends) people percieve you differently when in reality you haven't changed at all.
I still think your who you are despite mistakes you have made along the way. It seems people tend to jump the gun when it comes to judging some one else. Maybe its a first impression thing...who knows?
And even if you are making mistakes a good friend should love you and help you through it. Not turn their back in one or two instances of vulgarity.
As I have said before people constantly change. But let the changes be open and not looked down upon. You may not like what one of your friends is doing at the time, but maybe they are just exploring a part of them that they have never felt before or let out into the open. Maybe they just aren't keeping their head straight through a hard time. More than likely its a phase. A good friend would stand by you while it rides. I know I've been in that position more than once in my life.
Loyalty seems to be a hard quality to posess now-a-days.
