Okay, I'm just getting this up here before my Snape post, which I'll post relatively soon. Yaaaaay~!
THURSDAY:
New Year’s Eve whoooo!
Okay, so Wednesday night kind of sucked, because the hydraulics on the boat broke and lucky for me the water pipes they needed to get to were through the hatch under my bed. Personally, if someone woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me there was a secret hatch under my bed, I would rather they tell me it went to Narnia. But anyway, I ended up sleeping on the couch, and the sun woke me up at, like, six and the hydraulics were still offline so the boat was rocking all over the place, so I just had toast for breakfast and then they fixed it and we got going to the next island and it was pretty bumpy still so I just went and took a nap.
THE REST OF THE DAY WAS AWESOME, THOUGH. We got to St. Lucia and had lunch, and then we went shopping, and I got something for Mum and Andrew and myself so that took care of that. Then, after we got back, Loni asked if we wanted to take the motorboat and go snorkeling somewhere and so I figured I might as well (because duh, let’s put on a bathing suit and hang out with Loni.) So we buzzed up the coast and found a little alcove to go swimming in and there were lots of cool fish and stuff. And by the time we were done the sun was setting, so we buzzed up the other side of the island and Loni and I started talking again.
Did you know that in The Force Unleashed, Vader has a secret apprentice that kills Yoda, Vader, Obi-Wan, and Luke? Anyway, then he started telling me bad jokes, and I ended up talking about Svenson of all people, and I decided I had to go on the internet and look up some jokes because duh, I had to tell some back. And then he started pointing out these little skipping fish by the boat, and then the little herons, and then he pointed to the buoy we were passing and said, “Oh, yeah, that bird there on top there is called a Booby.” And then he looks at me all serious-like and deadpans, “They usually come in pairs.” And I guess Brianna and I were the only ones who got it right away. (lol) And then we talked about my dad, and how Dane secretly thinks he’s a rockstar, etc.
So we came back and got ready for dinner, which was pretty good, and I ended up having a (small) glass of champagne, and I decided that I just plain don’t like it. But either way we went out on the back deck and the whole crew came to hang out with us. So it was Brianna, Emily and Barry and I having drinks at the bar, or really just them, and then Dane and Loni were doing their bartender things and making things out of napkins (Loni gave me a napkin rose!) and acting like the Hitachi twins with their joke incest and stuff. Apparently in Family Guy, whenever they don’t finish a sentence, they trail off with, “Yeah, it’s a good way to stay in shape” so Dane was talking about how they share a room and you can guess where that went. And then he started talking about Loni’s underwear and he pretty much stopped there.
I had to laugh, though, because you had Dane and Loni whooping it up at the bar, and then on the other side was Matt and Luke with their scotches like, “Um…” Oh, and then Loni started telling bad jokes and I couldn’t stop laughing… And I seriously couldn’t stop laughing. And I’m pretty sure you can’t get drunk on three or four sips of champagne, so I don’t know what was going on, but that was the first time in my life I’ve ever laughed until I cried. If I had been a little less lightheaded I think I would have noticed something and gotten worried. But I didn’t!
Soooo… Then Dane and Loni and Barry and the girls went to the bar down at the end of the dock and I stayed with all the cool people. I got talking with Beth, who did I mention is sooooo adorable. Every couple of minutes she would look over at Matt on the other side of the deck and wave as cutely as she possibly could, and he’d sheepishly wave back and awwwwww~ She’s also pregnant, so she and Matt will be leaving before I come back in February. I was talking to her about it, and she said that yeah, it’s exciting that they’re having a baby, but she doesn’t want to leave because apparently my grandparents are the best bosses she’s ever had. Because really, if you think about it, most people who have yachts are rich douchebags. (“But I’m just going to go back to New Zealand and squeeze out a baby!” she says.)
So everyone came back and then we went up to the sky lounge and had a dance party. (Cucumbers abounded.) Barry was more than a little drunk, I think, but we actually partied longer and louder than the bar down at the end of the dock. (And at midnight all the couples had their New Years kiss and that was probably the only time all trip that I actually squeed.) And then everything died down and people went to bed (though the fireworks were beautiful) and it was just the girls and the brothers left. Pretty much we sat there on the bow with our feet in the hot tub and talked about life and told some more bad jokes. I for one didn’t go to bed until at least 2:30. It was really nice.
FRIDAY:
Was the adventure day! Well, sort of. Some people were more chipper than others; Beth for one was humming The Adams Family theme to herself. (It was so cute.)
So Barry took Brianna and Emily and I down to the beach and we rented a catamaran for an hour or so and we talked while Barry drove. We had no idea what he was doing, but we got a little nervous when it started looking a little stormy, we were pretty far out, and there wasn’t any wind. Luckily enough, it didn’t start raining until we got back, but then it poured on us walking back to the boat.
And then after it cleared up later in the day, so the three guys (the brothers and Luke) took us out to go scuba diving. We were looking for some calm waters, and it turns out that there’s a bay right below the Pitons that was perfect. Go figure.
So Loni put on his diving suit, which happened to be a blue camo, and he turns to me and goes, “Hey, like the Spirit Camo?” And I’m like, “eeee Sorrow~” So then he found some sunglasses and did finger guns for a picture. Awesome.
So scuba diving was really cool. The suit was a little tough to work out though, but Loni was very helpful, and he helped Emily and I find starfish and stuff like that. Dane was down there a little to take pictures, and then we realized ‘wtf dude, you don’t have any scuba gear!’ He would grab air from Loni’s pack every once and a while, but man, that guy is nuts.
Sooooo… There were some ultimate tubing adventures, and Loni and Luke went, and they were crazy and flipping all over the place and Dane was driving like a maniac and laughing the whole time… So yeah.
We got back just as the sun was going down, and my grandmother was all up in fits because we were gone for too long (like four hours?) and she thought we had drowned or something (even though we had radioed in every hour.) It was actually pretty funny because my grandmother was raving, and Bala gave me this look over her shoulder like, “O_____o”.
And then we played DDR. The Loni and Dane sucked at it.
Dude, like, I did a ton on Friday and I can’t remember any of it.
I CAN’T REMEMBER MUCH OF SATURDAY EITHER.
I walked around and took video of the boat for my movie, and that was fun. I still need to finish it. Loni took the females out to zip line, but it started raining about when we left. By the time we got up there, it was pouring. So the twenty minute open-air cable car was a little wet, but still fun. It calmed down after a little while, though. So we got up there and it was awfully cool, with- you know- rainforest stuff. And it wasn’t quite as bad as I thought it was going to be, and it was less of a few lines shooting down the mountain, and more slight declines (there were about 15). But the last one was insane, and the guy told us to scream so he knew we were coming, and I started screaming, and then I got scared, and then I guess I kept screaming, and Loni got it on video and laughs abounded. Then we got stuck for almost a half an hour on the ride home, and we ended up playing a sad game of I Spy. “I spy something green.” “A tree.” “Yeah.”
And so we got back and were soaked, but it had stopped raining by the time got back so we had lunch and went out again. (Meanwhile Grandpa, Barry, Dane, and the Captain went out fishing, and they got poured on too, except it wasn’t fun.) So we went back to our Piton bay there and went swimming again, and Christina and Briana went tubing and Emily tried waterskiing, and I was very happy on the boat no matter how many chicken noises Dane made at me. The ride back was also extremely bumpy, and we were all pretty much flying all over the place and we couldn’t even stay in our seats. So we ended up just all sitting on the floor and hanging on to whatever we could get at. It wasn’t like we could slow down. ;)
Dinner was lovely (AND CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR DESSERT OMG GUUUUUUUH) and then the girls and I decided to have a party. We were dressed up, we had loud music, the older girls had some beer… And we did a puzzle. XDDD We had started it before, and we decided that we had to finish it by the time we left. So we stayed up almost until midnight finishing it. But we did!
And then the last day… I got up early to pack, and then I spent my last bit of time trying to get some semblance of a tan. We had to get to the plane by 10, so we didn’t have too much time.
So everyone was saying bye, and the girls only wanted hugs from the brothers, but I kinda wanted to hug everything. So Beth got a big hug and it was like awwww, and then I guess since I was the only one of the girls who actually visited Matt sometimes, I got a really nice hug and a kiss on the cheek, which seriously gave me that warm bubbly feeling inside and eeeeeeeeeee <333333333 I was probably blushing.
And Bala got a hug too and we everyone else walked us down the boardwalk and I hadn’t really talked to Luke at all, and so I ended up walking with him. And I always start with, “So, what’s up with you?” And he seemed kind of surprised that I was talking to him, and he was like, “Um… Okay, I guess.” And then he stopped and was like, “Well, this stupid tie is too tight.” And he does the collar!choke and it was very cute, really. And then we got to the van and I was like, “Do I get a hug?” And he freezes up, looks at the other girls hugging the brothers and goes, “…But I’m sweaty. DDD=” But I got a hug anyway, even if he practically had to bend over double to get to me. =DDD And then hugs from Dane and Loni, obviously, and from Sean, and eeeee~ to all.
And then we went to the airport, got on the plane and went home. D= It was 28 degrees and snowing. DDD= BUT IT WAS OKAY. BECAUSE… I dunno, I could say something cheesy about bringing the warmth back with me, but nahhh.
So that’s pretty much it. =DDDDDD BEST VACATION EVER.
