I was totally screwed by my AIDS "quiz" on Friday. Mainly, I think, because I skipped class last Friday. For the past two weeks, all we've been discussing is how AIDS is a parasite, how there are different strains of HIV, and some facts and figures of HIV/AIDS in the world. Ok, no big deal. So I figured that I hadn't missed much when I skipped last Friday because the sidewalks and steps of my townhouse were iced over. Wrong. I get the test and half of the questions on it are about the different types of T-cells and B-cells and what they do. The thing is, since our class is only 50 minutes long, I would have thought that at least the tail end of that lecture would've spilled over into Monday's. Ugh.
So there's that, and the fact that I wanted to take the class pass/fail. I went over to get a pass/fail form and gound out that my advisor needs to sign it. About that. My advisor had told my that she would've approve of me taking over 12 credits since the ones that I needed to take this semester would push me enough. I thought that she was wrong, so I signed up for the AIDS class, since it had been one that I had wanted to take for two years, but it hadn't been offered since, and this would be the last semester that I could take it.
