I'm going to really make an effort to update this thing. I like reading other peoples' when they update, so I'll reciprocate.
I meant to get out of my hole during this long weekend, but sadly, the reading I had to catch up on put a stop to that. So what did I do this weekend? Read...a lot. Went to visit my grandma. Parts of that scared the crap out of me. I admit it, it did. Read some more. Pretty much it.
Being at the nursing home made me sad, especially since most of the people there are...not all there mentally, let's just say that. And my grandma is, so I feel bad, since she doesn't really get why she's there. It's like she's thinking "So I can't walk. Why the hell are you sticking me here with people who can't feed themselves or know what day it is?" Poor grandma. Although, there was one part that amused me quite a bit. Me and my mom and my grandma were in the common room with the other people for coffee, stuff like that. Then this lady that my mom knew, who had dementia or something (she had no idea who my mom was), drops the plastic cup of water she's drinking and exclaims "You f***ing son of a bitch!". A little disconcerting to hear the old people swear, but amusing nonetheless.
