So tonight I was in a car accident. Some freakin older lady backed her car into me at a STOP LIGHT. Not only that, the light was green, and from some reason she BACKED UP. And it's obvious that she didn't look behind her to see if there was someone there. She dented the front of my hood and broke my grill. It's really not that bad, but I am still angry. But here's the worst part. Brace yourselves. Okay so my dad hasn't given me my insurance card. As far as I know, I'm uninsured. And due to the fact that I've never been in an accident, I don't know the procedures. Since I was afraid I could be uninsured, I didn't even try to trade insurance info with her, because if I was uninsured and someone found out I could get my license revoked. And since the damage was almost negligable, I told her not to worry about it, and she drove off. Then I came home and told my dad only to find out that I am in fact insured. But, once again, because the damage is very slight, I'm not as pissed off as I was when it first happened. But why this old broad was backing up is a mystery, and Im pissed that she didn't even LOOK.
Anyway, now that that's over with, I would just like to say that I am a very happy girl. Wedding plans are going really well, and here's what's happened so far.
1. I ordered my dress, which should be available for fittings in the beginning of next year (probably around or before february).
2. I bought my shoes, which are so freakin' gorgeous I almost want to go naked.
3. I bought a petticoat (brand new with tag!!) at a thrift store downtown for only $15 (original tag says $49).
4. I just bought a gorgeous veil on Ebay, and if I like it, that's done - if not, it's returnable.
5. Colors are picked
6. bridesmaids are picked
7. guest lists are being made
8. Ive decided how I want to do my hair and makeup
9. And we've decided on TWO (yes two!) receptions - a nice one at a small venue for our closest friends and family, and a second, smaller open house for everyone else. Even though it's two parties, it will save us a ton of money, and we will be able to invite EVERYONE.
10. wedding cake topper has been bought
11. wedding cake has been designed (based off of topper!)
12. Most of the foods for the reception have been chosen
13. Master of Ceremonies/ D.J. has been selected (WES!)
14. And of course, the actual ceremony location has been chosen.
There's still a LOT to do, but we're making good progress, especially considering that the wedding isn't for another 6 months. Good news, huh??
That's all for now, but I get more and more excited the more progress we make. I can't wait for the wedding, because it is going to be tons of fun and beautiful!!
