“It was SO cool!” Reita exclaimed.
“Yeah, the fighting scenes were amazing. He was blocking that shit like he was a human shield,” Ruki agreed, elaborating.
“Ooh, like that one part where he went POW!” Reita karate chopped Ruki’s shoulder-imitating the scene from the movie. Ruki finished off the movie scene by dramatically collapsing to his death on the floor-tongue hanging out and all.
Aoi and Kai were enjoying their friends' reenactment and laughed as Ruki grabbed Reita’s ankle, pulling him to the floor unexpectedly. Landing on the concrete-and Ruki-with a thud, Reita slapped Ruki on the arm, shouting, “You jerk!” This only fueled Ruki’s laughter.
The four were so preoccupied with laughing that none of them noticed that the fifth person in the room seemed to be much less than amused. In fact, that fifth person seemed downright pissed off.
Uruha huffed, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth in attempts to cover his frown. He crossed his arms over his chest and turned away from his two friends lying on the floor.
“I’m going to get a drink of water,” he finally mumbled, pushing himself between Kai and Aoi and hurrying out of the room.
Kai and Aoi looked at each other, just as Ruki and Reita looked at each other. “What’s crawled up his ass?” Ruki asked, sitting up on the floor and shoving Reita’s legs off of his.
“Ruki!” Reita scolded.
“What?!”
“Maybe he’s just having a bad day, alright?” Reita said, standing and dusting off his pants. He held out a hand to help Ruki up-which Ruki accepted.
“It’s been more than just a day, Reita,” Aoi pointed out. “He’s been like this for a while now.”
“Has he really?” Reita questioned in honest surprise.
Kai jumped in the conversation, saying, “Yeah, he’s been really moody. You didn’t notice at all?”
“No…” he trailed off.
“You guys are really close, though!” Kai said.
Reita just shrugged in response-at a loss for why he hadn't noticed. The gloomy presence walking-perhaps stomping was closer to the truth-through the room’s entrance interrupted their conversation.
“Sheesh, Uruha! Your rain cloud is really blocking the light. I can’t even see my hand clearly!” Ruki said, as he held his hand in front of his face. Reita, Kai, and Aoi all found the closest part of Ruki’s body to them and smacked it, causing Ruki to emit an “Ow!”
Uruha turned to the wall and kicked it roughly and yelled, “Shut UP, Ruki!” before promptly heading back the way he came and exiting the room.
“Uruha!” Reita called after him, jogging out of the room to follow him. Uruha didn’t seem to have plans for slowing down, so Reita picked up his pace shouting “Uruha! Stop, will you?!”
“Leave me alone!” he called out as he sharply turned the corner.
“No!” Turning the same corner Uruha had, Reita saw his friend stopped in front of the elevator-violently pushing the button. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“Away!” he replied, walking through the now opened elevator doors.
“You haven’t even put away your equipment!” Reita exclaimed, standing in the elevator’s opening, holding the doors open with his arms.
“So?! Aoi will do it for me!” he shouted, shoving Reita out of the elevator doorway.
“Uruha!” Reita quickly pushed his way between the closing doors and into the elevator with his friend.
“What do you want?!” he snapped, pushing the ground-floor button.
“What is the matter with you?!” Reita asked incredulously.
“There’s nothing wrong with me!” he snapped again, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the elevator wall as the elevator began moving downwards.
“Bullshit! You’re in a pissy mood right now and apparently have been for a while! What the hell is going on with you?”
“There is NOTHING wrong! Even if there was, why would you care?” he scoffed.
“Because I care about you!” Reita answered, totally confused by his friend’s behavior.
“Right, sure you do. That’s why you’re just now asking if something’s the matter!”
“I thought you said nothing was wrong?” he asked. Reita never got a response to that question because suddenly, the elevator stopped moving.
“FUCK!” Uruha screamed, banging his fist on the wall. He hurried over to the button pad and furiously pressed the ground-floor button, “No, no, no, no!” he ran his fingers through his hair, pulling on it as he groaned.
Reita sighed, pulling out his cell phone and dialing Kai’s number.
“Reita, where are you guys?” Kai asked as he answered his phone.
“We’re stuck in the elevator. Can you go tell someone to fix it?”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Thanks,” Reita responded before hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket. He glanced in Uruha’s direction and noticed his face contorted in extreme displeasure as he leaned against the wall. “Hopefully we’ll get out of here soon,” he said, breaking the uncomfortable silence. Uruha merely grunted and turned so his body was a little more towards the wall and a little less towards Reita.
Sighing and running his hands through his hair, Reita pleaded, “Just tell me what’s wrong, Uru.”
“No, really. It’s fine. You’re busy and don’t need to deal with my problems.”
Hearing that, Reita’s face scrunched in confusion. “Huh? You’re just as busy as I am!”
Turning to face Reita, Uruha’s eyebrows rose as he sarcastically explained “Apparently I’m not considering you’ve been out every single day we’ve had off for the past month while I haven’t!”
“Well, you could have gone somewhere, too!”
Smacking his forehead, Uruha feigned realization as he said, “You’re totally right! Why didn’t I think of that?!” Reita stared at Uruha blankly with a slack jaw. “Oh, right. I did.”
His head tilted to the side and-even more confused than before-Reita could only respond with “Eh?!”
“Nothing,” he said with a shake of his head. “Forget I said anything.”
“How am I supposed to do that?! You’re mad at me and I don’t even know why!”
“MAYBE”-Uruha shouted, throwing his hands into the air-“if you weren’t so busy with RUKI you’d have noticed something was wrong!” Hands grabbing his hair, Uruha’s back slid down the wall of the elevator until he was sitting on the floor. He pulled his knees to his chest, hiding his face against his thighs.
Completely shocked, Reita took a step towards Uruha, leaning down and asking, “Y-you’re jealous?”
Uruha mumbled against his thighs “No!”-He paused-“Maybe,”-he paused again-“Yes.”
Reita sighed, sitting down next to Uruha. “You’re jealous because I’ve been hanging out with him?”
His head shooting up, Uruha defended himself, “No! It’s not just that! I wanted to see that movie with you! I had asked you to see it with me when we saw a preview for it! I wanted to eat at that new Italian restaurant with you, but you took Ruki even after I suggested you and I go together. I ask you to go to arcades all the time, but you always say no! But no, no, no! As soon as Ruki asks you to go to that new arcade by your favorite ramen shop, you immediately agree!” he sighed, his shoulders slumping miserably.
“Uruha, I…” Reita trailed off, honestly having no idea how to end his sentence. Instead, he just sighed.
“Forget it,” Uruha said softly. “You guys click. I get it.”
Reita grit his teeth as he let out a yell of frustration and punched the elevator wall-which then caused him to let out a yell of pain.
“Reita, be careful!” Uruha hurriedly leaned towards Reita, gently grabbing his hand and examining it closely. Uruha sighed as he said, “That’s going to bruise. Idiot,” and then let go of Reita’s hand. “…Is it because I’m taller than you?” Uruha whispered.
“What?!” Reita couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of the question. “Of course not!”
“Is he funnier?”
“Maybe in the face,” he replied sarcastically, earning him a shove from Uruha.
“I’m being serious!”
“I can’t take you seriously when you ask such silly questions, Uru!”
“They’re not meant to be funny!” he whined.
“You just asked me if I hadn’t been hanging out with you because you’re taller than me!” he laughed, shoving Uruha gently.
Uruha pouted. “I dunno why else you’d stop hanging out with me.”
“I really didn’t know I was doing anything differently, Uruha,” he said, grabbing Uruha’s arm and pulling him closer. Reita wrapped his arms around him in a sideways hug. Uruha gasped softly, his face quickly turning bright red. Reita smiled as he noticed Uruha blushing. Loosening his hold, Reita gently pulled Uruha’s head to rest on his shoulder. “It’s not as if I think ‘Oh, I’ll just ask Ruki to do this instead of Uruha’ or ‘I would rather hang out with Ruki than Uruha,’ okay?” he said, running his hand through Uruha’s hair. Uruha nodded slowly against Reita’s shoulder, not being able to form a verbal response.
A few minutes passed in silence with Reita still combing his fingers through his friend’s hair-Uruha’s face donning a steady blush-before Reita asked, “Do you feel better now?”
“Mm,” he answered absentmindedly. Reita smirked as he watched Uruha staring at the wall in front of him with wide eyes.
“Is your favorite color pink?” he asked, smiling wider.
“Mm,” Uruha answered absentmindedly again. Reita laughed silently, not wanting to interrupt Uruha’s zoning-out.
“Do you have a huge box of porn in your closet?”
“Mm,” Uruha answered, still zoning out. Waiting for his silent laughter to break at any moment, Reita was clasping his side with his hand as he tried not to move-not wanting to disturb Uruha and ruin his fun.
“Are you picturing me naked?”
“Mm,” he said. Realizing what he’d said immediately after he’d said it, Uruha jerked his head off of Reita’s shoulder to face him-shouting, “What?! No!” Not able to hold it in any longer, Reita fell onto the floor in laughter. “Pervert!” Uruha shrieked, hitting Reita in the chest.
“What, me?!” he said between laughs. “You’re the one picturing me naked!”
Uruha blushed-hitting Reita’s chest again-as he whined, “I wasn’t!”
Laughing harder, Reita asked, “Is that supposed to hurt? It kind of tickles.”
Eyes widened in offense, Uruha climbed over Reita and straddled his waist as he started his attack of tickles to Reita’s sides. Reita shrieked with laughter and tried to curl away from Uruha’s hands, but he was trapped.
“I’m sorry, does that tickle?” Uruha asked, grinning widely.
“YES!” he wailed, still trying to get away from the offending hands and continuing to fail-still trapped beneath Uruha. “Stop, PLEASE!” he pleaded, gasping for air.
Uruha tickled Reita a little longer before stilling his hands-the huge grin never leaving his face. Reita’s laughter died down and he tried to regulate his breathing.
The moment went from lighthearted to serious as Uruha’s smile slowly left his face and he looked Reita in the eyes; Reita looked right back. Not fully aware of what he was doing, Uruha leaned down-never breaking his eye contact with Reita. Before either of them could register what was happening, Uruha’s eyes closed and he pressed his lips gently to Reita’s-who moaned softly in surprise.
Uruha’s eyes flew open as he heard Reita’s moan; his lips were still connected with Reita’s, but Uruha quickly pulled away. Covering his face with his hands, Uruha squeaked, “Ohmigod! What did I just do?!”
“I think you just kissed me,” Reita mumbled, dazedly.
Peeking at Reita through his fingers, Uruha embarrassedly said, “I’m so sorry! I-“
“Um,”-Reita cleared his throat, speaking at the same time as Uruha-“I liked it.”
“-was caught up in the moment and You looked so cute being ti-“ he stopped speaking immediately, dropping his hands to stare dumbly at his friend-who was still pinned beneath him. “You WHAT?”
“I… liked it?” he offered quietly.
Uruha’s jaw dropped as he continued to stare at Reita-who was looking at Uruha nervously. Snapping his jaw shut, Uruha examined his friend’s face. Taking note of the pink tinting his cheeks and the way Reita ran his tongue over his plush bottom lip, Uruha decided he couldn’t take it any longer and crashed his lips to Reita’s-who yelped at the sudden and aggressive contact. Once over the initial shock, he moaned into Uruha’s mouth as he parted Reita’s lips with his tongue.

Kai stood behind the maintenance workers as they pried the elevator doors apart, slightly apprehensive at the thought of what he’d find. For all he knew, Uruha had bashed Reita’s skull in with his boot.
As the doors opened little by little, Kai could see that no, Uruha hadn’t bashed Reita’s skull in with his boot. In fact, he was currently straddling a very-much-alive Reita-whose hands had pushed under Uruha’s shirt, exposing most of his back. He couldn’t see either of their faces, but he had a pretty good idea what their mouths might be doing-judging from their positioning and the way Uruha’s hips were moving against Reita.
Both the maintenance workers and Kai were totally stunned. Kai shook his head to rid his mind of its shock and then loudly cleared his throat-causing Uruha to roll off of Reita and quickly scramble to the opposite side of the elevator.
Raising an eyebrow at his madly blushing band mates, Kai said, “I guess it’s stupid to ask if everything got sorted out, then.”

A/N: If I ever get stuck in an elevator, someone better have a paper bag. I hate, HATE elevators.
...okay, maybe I wouldn't mind being stuck in that elevator.
