Things are going well for me lately. Finished the semester and although I haven't gotten my final grade, I'm pretty sure I passed. I'm moving in with Sam at the end of the month, we've been de-cluttering her apartment so that I'll have room. Lots of random stuff has been going on. Sam and I went to Kristin and Trevor's anniversary/birthday party and found out that Josh Uhl and Cristy got married too. Nate and Amy were also celebrating their 2nd anniversary so apparently everyone got married around the same week. The party was a few weeks ago now, the only thing I remember was beating a ten year old at guitar hero after she had beaten me two songs in a row. The people on the porch just heard my victory cry of "SUCK IT TEN YEAR OLD!!"
Went to see Star Trek with everyone which was great. It's kinda funny that there was so much fanfare for the new Star Wars movies, but I didn't get the same feeling from the Star Trek movie but it was so much better. I guess since Star Wars fans had to wait 20 years for their movie to come out it was a bigger deal.
Sam and I also went to see Wolverine. It was pretty good. It had it's moments that were awesome and a few that weren't so awesome but it averaged out to be pretty nice. Will I Am was cool as Kestral, they did his power cool. I also enjoyed seeing the Blob and a hobbit that could turn light bulbs on and off. Agent Zero was awesome if riddulus. I was surprised that they didn't have Maverick who has always been a Weapon X stand by. Then I come to find out that two different people have been known as Maverick and they were both in the movie, who knew! Agent Zero is one iteration and Electric Hobbit is the other. Deadpool and Gambit were both awesome of course, but they only had about 4 lines each.
There's news of Wolverine Origins 2 where wolvy is in Japan being all Samurai like. It makes me wonder how he gets from 3 Mile Island to Japan and back to Canada, but he does have about 20 years to do it so it could happen. Also gives Sabertooth plenty of time to grow his hair out and bleach it and grow another foot in height. There is also talk of a Deadpool movie which I would be very excited to see. The only problem is now Deadpool has all these extra powers he doesn't need, maybe his body will reject them. The only powers Deadpool needs are a healing factor and the ability to kick ass. He had a teleporter device in the comics so I guess he can keep that power, but he doesn't need swords to come out of his arms or optic blasts to come out of his eyes.
My parents just got back from New Mexico. It sounds like they had fun, they saw lots of desert and Roswell. I'm pretty sure Roswell is a tourest trap, but there's so little in New Mexico who could tell. They said you have to drive 2 hours to get anywhere. Sam and I are going to Texas on Monday. We're going out to see her parents, it's becoming a summer tradition. She hasn't actually seen them since we went to see them in South Carolina last June. Her dad took off and is taking her to the jewelry store when we get there. It's kinda funny since they say they don't have a lot of money now that they're having a huge house built, but whatever.
