I was so lucky today going to work. I somehow managed to get past every obstacle thrown in my way. The first was an over turned car on my way out of my neighborhood. There were 5 cop cars there I think, and while I was waiting at the light a fire truck and an ambulance pulled up and parked in the middle of the road. I would have never managed to get around them if I had been 30 seconds later than I was it would have taken me 10 minutes to go a different way.
Next, going down the back road a van flashed his lights at me. I thought maybe this might mean there was a cop ahead so I slowed down to the limit and sure enough I passed a cop giving a ticket to a guy on my side of the road.
At a four-way stop there were two cars pulled over and I assume exchanging information after a collision.
Finally on the road going to the hospital a road crew had closed off the right lane and I just happened to be in the left so I didn't have to slow down at all to get into the left lane to avoid the road work.
Too bad when I got to work I had to park in B lot, which is farther away then C lot where I usually (and I'm supposed to) park in. I made it to the time clock at exactly 2:00.
What an odd day.
