Life is crazy as always since it's the holidays. Tis the season when full-timers take off lots of time and part-timers between semesters like me must pick up the slack. I'm practically full time over the holidays, which sucks, cause it's the holidays. The one good thing, almost no traffic coming or going to work.

Spending time with loved ones is the major reason I hate working so much this time of year. Between Sam, everyone in York, my family and work there just isn't enough time. I went with Sam yesterday to help her buy a new car. She had gotten a letter that said they were having a crazy buyback event which was offering maximum amount for your trade-in and up to 10,000 off the new car.

Now of course going in we knew that this was a gimmick, but still expected to get some kind of deal. The saleswoman they put us with was a major bitch. After test driving and deciding on the one Sam wanted we went back and went over the details. The first offer they gave was 4,000 for the trade-in and 500 off the new one. Which was crazy, it was half the blue-book value of her car and when you see up to 10,000 you figure a little more than 500 off.

So as you might think there was much of her going to see her manager and Sam refusing to pay as much as they were asking. Finally it got to the point were Meka, her friend, and I were just ready to leave and went outside while Sam was in there demanding her keys back. The last offer they gave her 4 or 5 thousand off, I don't remember and 9,000 for her trade. So she did end up taking the deal.

She got a 5 door Mazda 3, it's pretty much the same car she had, but 3 years newer and with a hatchback which she didn't have before.
