Saturday's birthday party was fun. We went to a habaichi place and it was cold, so very cold. They are understaffed so it took a long time to get our food too. We were there for like an hour and a half before they started cooking, and did I mention it was cold? Even Sam was freezing and she normally thinks it's hot everywhere.
After dinner we went to a bar out in Lancaster. We were quite lucky to find a table that cleared out right before we came in. Sitting right by the door we got to see many shananigans. Our table was also a magnet for people who wanted to put down their drink for a second and hang up their coat. One such individual was convinced he knew Sam. After a few return trips and many odd guesses they determined that they had gone to high school together and not only that, but had been in the same year.
We had many odd drinks like a cookie dough martini and Landshark, which is a beer. I also got some irish nachoes, which are actually potatos, and very good. Since we were close to the door we also got to see a guy try to make a scene and eventually be taken away by the cops because he did not have his id and demanded to be let in.
I of course had to work the next morning at 6:30 am so we finally had to go. Sam was kind enough to drive home, and I slept almost the entire way. I barely remember going in the house. I was still pretty tired the next day but when I got to work I fell asleep for about a half hour and felt much better.
