Bonnie loves music more than she probably loves anything, since she's not really the loving sort. Ben could stick her anywhere on the island and she'd deal with it just as long as she had a radio of some kind with her and enough power to keep it running.
Greta learned her first month down in The Looking Glass with her that you could tell her moods by what she listened to, which was the only really clear indication she ever got since Bonnie's moods were erratic and as unpredictable as the weather on this island. If she listened to jazz, she was angry, but wanted to calm down. If she was blasting loud rock music, then she was angry and intended to stay that way. If she was listening to classical, then she was calm, happy, at ease with life.
It went without saying that she very rarely ever listened to the classics.
Greta sometimes found herself staring at the little keyboard in the transmission room, running her fingers over the keys and wishing for a real piano to play. She learned when she was a child and was at least relatively decent at it. She never really understood what made her remember all that until she realized that she wanted to play classical pieces for Bonnie. She wants to run her fingers across keys, delicately plunking out Mozart or whoever else she can think to play. She wants Bonnie to lean over her as she's playing and kiss her neck and make her heart speed up to match the tempo of her rapidly playing fingers. She wants to hum in tune with the music and in delight when Bonnie's fingers brush against something far more intimate than piano keys.
After all, Bonnie doesn't love anything except the music, and maybe if she could produce those melodies as easily as the radio, Bonnie could love her just as much.
