"Zuzu’s going to be so pissed."
"I don’t care."
"Don’t you?"
Azula’s perfectly manicured nails twirl a lock of her dark hair. She wishes she could brush it aside, wishes she could leave. It's not as comfortable as it once was and this bed’s too small for the three of them- four, technically, because her mind isn’t on either of her two best friends, but on Zuko, so much that he’s practically there with them.
What a thought. It makes her sick just thinking of it.
"It’s not like we haven’t done this before," she mutters, trying to get the subject off Zuko. Best to think of who she was with currently and not who she wanted to be with. She may have forgiven him, but frustration had led her to a different bed that night. And Azula’s offer had been so tempting at the time.
The princess doesn’t budge. "But you weren’t taken then." There’s a victorious note in Azula’s voice. The bitch is obviously relishing the fact that she has something else to lord over Zuko- the fact that she had her long before he did and would probably have her long after. It was always conquest with Azula, always one more victory.
On the other side of Azula, Ty Lee mercifully changes the subject (she’s never been so happy to hear Ty Lee speak before now), "Come on, girls. It’s still early. I could go for another one."
Azula nibbles her ear in response to this, obviously ready to hear her say that she wants this and nothing more, even though she's not quite sure what she wants anymore.
She sighs. "Whatever."
At least it changes the subject.
