This weekend was busy.
Seattle Pug Gala: The Wife and I took
busterpugto his first gala on Saturday. he made many new friends and sniffed many butts. I think we saw the most morbidly obese puggle that exists. He looked like a footstool with legs.
Highlight:
busterpugmade it to the Semi-Finals in the pug races. Not bad for his first attempt
Lowlight: The Wife got to bear the *mark* of Zorro (another pug at the gala) literally. Next time we will bring spare pants.
Jet City: I don't remember the last time i did the double Saturday show thing. It was especially nice after the first show in front of a sold out crowd i got asked for an autograph. I enjoy feeling like a low level celebrity.
Highlight:
robodart's "German Donkey Should Not Be!"
Lowlight: My inability to rap well in 3-style replay
Your Job Sucks: I made a point of sticking around for the Midnight:30 show. I hope none of the cast took my immediate departure afterwards as a negative, quite the contrary, The drive to Renton is just long. I enjoyed the show and don't believe i have seen that much of
apartment_5 before.
Iron Man:
Finally got to see it after everyone else has. I think it may be my favorite Marvel comic movie. I think it is difficult to compare DC and Marvel comics. I think Marvel is inherently more lighthearted and fun than DC. I also think that Jon Faverau's movie making has increased exponentially. though that may be because he was working with a subject matter he was passionate about. As far as Robert Downey Jr., his performance reminded me of Michael Clark Duncan's performance in the Tim Burton "Planet of the Apes" in that both actors were obviously having the time of their lives portraying their characters. The one difference being that "Planet of the Apes" was (Spoiler) AWFUL.
schempp, yes i did stick around after the credits...not really sure what the Avenger Initiative is...will Iron Man be helping out
Mrs. Peel in a future movie?
Housework: I got to actually mow my lawn and do some gentle weeding, while The Wife vacuumed and did laundry...is that gender stereotyping? I missed mowing the lawn. Will need to stock up on cigars and Red Stripe once the weather gets warmer. We also learned that
busterpug can almost make it out underneath the front gate if he digs hard enough. So we got to bathe a filthy dog inside the house that just got cleaned.
Lost:
Batmanuel is Back! Adorable Snickers moment. or Claire gets creepy.
